The specs note mesh size is 2", but there is "depth" Spec of 1". It's a bit unclear if this actually means the openings are 2" high X 1" wide, with the height measurement in the 60" direction of the fence.

Answer:
Not by itself. Posts will need to be 7 ft high, then run 1 or 2 strands of wire above the fence to create a 7 ft barrier.

Dogs are non-agressive and don't jump a great deal. I'm just wondering about the stability and strength of it.

Answer:
The fencing itself is strong. Depends on size of your dogs and how you install the fence = type of posts and distance of posts. I've seen grown panicking deer running into this fence and the fence bounced animal back. But it was one time event. With dogs it will be repeated jumping and bouncing. I would feel safer with fencing for dogs sold also in Home Depot.

Answer:
Hello alucalind,
With the dogs being as you describe then this fencing should do nicely. Placing posts in 6' increments or less will keep any weight of the dogs from over whelming the the fence and pulling it down. Make sure the fence is well secured to the posts and you should be fine. I hope this helps.
Cheers,
Chris

Really depends on the terrain and application. My experience is with deterring deer, so I typically use a steel T or similar post every 15 ft, or attach the fencing to a tree with either 1/4in braided rope or with large staple-nails. Even a large deer will bounce of the fence this way if they are running towards it and don't see it. Occasionally the fence gets bent a little.

If you are using it to grow some type of vine, you'll probably want it closer together due to the weight. Read Less

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 19 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Should keep the critters out The fence good quality and looks nice. Came fast Easy to install . June 7, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Fencing The description has 14-Gauge but the packaging indicates that it is 16-Gauge (after vinyl coating). Still, it is OK fencing for dogs, chickens and turkeys. June 4, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good for the job Despite some reviews, my product came in a couple weeks (seven 50ft bundles). I had it delivered to the store so I didn't have to worry about being home to receive it. Fit easily in the back of my pickup truck and the store loaded it in for me. As you can tell by the quantity, I would like a 100ft version. I use it for both fencing around fruit trees (deer protection), and around my garden (deer and coyote protection). The 5 ft height is much better for me than the 4ft product carried in the store. April 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by wire fence Worried a bit on the shape the wire fence would be in as it was shipped to my house , it turned out there was nothing to worried about as it arrived in perfect shape, Thanks a Bunch - now let those deer try to get at my garden! April 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Protect your flowers from the deer The best welded wire for building a fence, and protect your flowers from the deer, and groundhogs. The fence is almost invisible, because it is green, and strong enough to survive severe snowstorms on winter. Plus Home Deport delivered it to your porch for free! June 2, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good buy for price! I couldn't find colored vinyl galvanized fencing anywhere else besides Home Depot! Not in a 14 gauge thickness. I was so happy to finally find colored vinyl galvanized fencing that was also 14 gauge at Home Depot. Great buy for a great price! So much cheaper than chain link fencing! December 22, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exactly what I needed Wire patched my existing, Green plastic coat looked rear not to thick a wire so easy to bent and cut.. Wish it would have been in stock in at least one of the 10 Los Angeles Home Depots that I called. Screened my patio to give my cats a playground. October 14, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by perfect deer protection for trees/shrubs I surrounded each tree and shrub with a circle of this fencing and it worked perfectly! The fencing is "stand-alone" once you cut the wire and create a circle, no stakes or hardware needed. I left a wire "tail" on one edge every 5 squares to bend upon itself to hold the circle together. Then, I can easily lift the fencing off each plant to weed, mulch...then replace the fencing. Deer can walk through my yard eating anything else, but they can't reach above 5 feet to eat the plant enclosed int he fencing. My plants are coming back to life nicely, and I can barely see the fencing unless the light hits it "just right" I still get the pleasure of watching the deer eat weeds and birdseed in my yard!
