Had no issue using the product. Though I did have to use it on almost all of my property, so about 3/4 acre, so my arms we sore and "asleep" from the vibration of the machine. Product never bogged down or turned off, and we had pretty big rocks, we moved into a home that was vacant for 2 years and no yard work had been done for 5 years. Had no issues cranking it or keeping it on. We had purchased a tiller that after 2 hours of use it caught fire and was broken, this tiller was ran for about 5 hours at a time, 2 times on the same day, never smoked or anything else. Worth the money, gets the job done

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by hpiguy Powerful Tiller for turning over existing gardens
I purchased this small tiller this spring after having removed the sod on my new 16x9 garden and flower beds.
My intention is to use this to dig down another few inches into the soil and also mix in composted manure for me. It has not disappointed me yet in my intended tasks.
Out of the box it was assembled with the handle up in a few seconds. I followed the directions for starting and she started with relative ease being a new small engine. A few minor flameouts later and she was idling perfectly. Total time from box to idling well at half choke by itself was 10 minutes.
It takes some time to warm this up all the way to turn the choke off. It was about 55F out and I had to leave it at half choke for 10 minutes or so while working with it. It ran fine at half choke, just minus some speed at the tines. After it got nice and hot I flipped the choke off and she really gained pep as expected.
It digs nice and deep into mildly packed soil and mixed in heavy rain-soaked composted manure easily. About 20-25 minutes to do the garden was all it took.
My tip is to pull this machine backward slowly, don't try to walk it forward or it rides up and out of the dirt. Go backwards at 3/4 or more throttle and it digs right in.
I didn't think this was any louder than any other two stroke. The exhaust does not blow in your face, it comes out towards your shins. The engine fan blows hot air upwards, and that is what I think people are calling exhaust. If it annoys you, stop leaning so far over the engine I guess.
I tried it on a patch of non broken grass along the edge of the new garden and it chewed it up, but in untouched grass, you'd need to really move slow and work hard to get this to bust dry sod well. I don't think this machine is meant for that.
For maintaining and mixing existing gardens and beds of normal homeowner size, I got what I paid for. Pretty happy.
If I was allowed to post pictures, I'd show the work it did to prove my comments.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by redhd62 Good but could be better
this tiller has worked very well with relatively easy start-up even after hibernating alll winter in my storage shed. The only thing I would have different is the weight. You really have to apply muscle into it if you have hard or clay soil otherwise it will just walk across it. It also is quite noisy so I recommend hearing protection and wear gloves as the grips make your hands quite irritated after a short while of vibrating.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Paula Great tool to have in the yard
I have Loved this handy little hard working yard machine! It has gone everywhere with me through out my yard and has performed many, many tasks perfectly for 2 years.
I have a large garden area that I till every year, almost 900 sq. ft. This last summer I xeriscaped my yard, and the yard machine was there to help perpare all of the garden beds.
The yard machine is Now acting up! :( Thank you Home Depot for providing the Manual on line. It has been helpful to figure out my problem with out having to search my house for the manual.
I think that it needs new gas and a tune up and it will be good as new! (I didn't baby it like the manual said to!)

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Marvz1951 Super product for a reasonable price.
This tiller is easy to use, Much easier than a large tiller with equal results. I would recommend this product for both men and women. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mm88 Choke position not right
Let me say I am happy with the performance for the price. The only thing I don't like is that it stalls when you turn the choke off no matter how long it has warmed up. I had followed the directions for starting (full choke, then half choke until warm then no choke). All goes well until you turn the choke off. It does However run fine at half choke. I tilled my entire garden (about 30 minute running time) on half choke (definitely warm) then turned choke off. Even at full throttle it stalls.

Broke after a year and a half of use
Gas line from the tank to the engine was all brittle and broke off. Gas tank support was broken off at the base.
After fixing all that and new plugs, engine won't start anymore. And finally the pull mechanism broke and that was the end for me.
