I have a fairly smallish, very flat yard. I like to view the chore of mowing as an opportunity for a workout as my day job is mostly sitting.
So I didn't need a 4x4 with leather and a cup holder.
That said I wanted a good motor that I could rely on and enough power to be a little lazy with my cutting schedule. I think this will do just fine.
I have only mowed with it twice so I can't speak to the year 2 potential for problems but this is pretty much the same motor as many other more expensive mowers and I wanted none of their features and certainly not their price tags. This will do.
However, the motor does sound a little inconsistent. I'm thinking of adding a fuel treatment to the tank to see if it helps but there is definitely a throbbing idle at work. Doesn't seem to affect the performance at all and it starts on one pull every time so far.
I do with the handle was adjustable a bit as I'd like it about 2-4 inches higher angled.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Lisa Not worth the money
Bought this item towards the end of June 2016. I have used it 3 times since and now it won't start. Put in fresh fuel, pulled cord and just won't catch. Should NOT be happening on the fourth use. The bag doesn't hold very much and quite honestly, we have stopped using it because it is causing too much stop/start to empty it. The LIMITED WARRANTY is very limited...as in pretty much nothing is covered. I could have saved the money and just hired a kid from the neighborhood at this point. Looks nice, but definitely not worth the investment if you have to buy a new one every two months!

The design of this mower is great, and when the engine runs, it is one of the best mowers that I have used in my 50 years of living, but there in lies the problem, the engine. After I bought this mower, I cut my grass a total of 3 times before the engine started cutting out and then quitting all together. (Not a fuel problem) The first time, I was able to take it back in time to get a replacement. I was offered a choice of 2 mowers, the same price, and stupid me took the same mower. Now I have experienced the exact same problem with the different mower. I have never bought a piece of garbage like this before, and I will never buy another one. If this is what Home Depot calls quality merchandise, I will look somewhere else, from now on!

Brought it home. Cord frozen in place. Doesn't move. End of my review.

Bought this mower to replace a corded electric push mower. Blade speed is much higher then my electric and cuts grass better. Over the past 2 weeks I have worked tons of OT so I had no time to cut my lawn, grass was 2"-4" high in most places and higher in small areas. Had to push a bit slower and stalled a few times but was expected for the amount it was cutting.
I love the ease of how it cuts and how easy it was to pull start!

I got mine second hand, was given to me because it ran at full throttle for a very short time, then gradually died.Pulled the carb bowl off and found the (float hinge pin?)rattling around.Cleaned everyyhing, put the pin back in,now it runs fine. The pin is very tiny,be careful not to lose it.
