CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 35 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wish I had bought one 10 years sooner, great product for the price. We have determined that a snow blower does a better job of clearing the yard than plowing. Here in Down East Maine we have had record snow falls this year. We have snow in some places over 6' deep. We were simply running out of room to plow the snow. I have used this snow blower to reclaim much of our yard. We can now turn around again. Seems it takes about the same amount of time to Snow Blow as it does to plow, but with better results. In truthfulness, I have used this for old snow falls, with much crusty snow and ice mix. It has done a great job. My only complaints to the manufacturer. Set up the snow chute turning worm reverse of what you have now, as it turns opposite of driving a car and therefore takes a second to remember the direction to get it right. Also, the chute should be taller, so as to get up and over large drifts, and one more tooth on each side, and it could be aimed slightly back and oftentimes more downwind. It seems to have great power but sometimes on long throws, wish it could be revved a tad more. Last complaint, reverse is too slow. We end up putting it in neutral and pulling it back by hand. We calculate it as 1/2 paid for in plowing savings in less than one months use. For the price, I can not complain too much. A great value for money spent. March 8, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Cheap Plastic Chute breaks very easy The machine has only been used about 3x times now and this last storm dropped 30 inches of snow the machine runs well although if shut the choke of entirely the engine reeves up and down a bit probably just needs some adjusting. The machine throws fluffy snow well but Boggs down when it gets into the heavy wet stuff and it barely is able to throw it 5 feet and am disappointed with this part of its performance as this is when I need it the most. In this last storm and after the 3rd time using the machine the flange clip that holds the plastic chute broke which is totally unacceptable. The entire chute is very very cheap plastic and does not work well at all when you try to adjust the chute with the handle it often does not align width the teeth so you need to stop and fiddle with it. Can’t say enough about how poor the chute assembly is which a critical piece of the machine. I would not recommend this blower to a friend and will try to sell this spring to get something of better quality, January 29, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Why oh Why did I wait Why oh why did I wait all these years to purchase a blower. Picked this up the night before a 15" snowfall. I went out twice only because I wanted to make sure everything worked ok and to be honest it was fun. Now the snow we had was the nice light fluffy kind which isn't our normal snow in Central New Jersey. It cut it like butter and tossed it a good 20'. Even when I got down to the plowed muck at the end of the driveway, nice and easy. Love the one handed operation once you get it going, gave me a chance to rest a hand from squeezing. Would have liked a head light and will look at the power coming out of the hand grip heater port. Probably rig my own light from that. Quality is good from what I see, obviously only used once so hasn't been put through the paces. January 22, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Buy! We just went through the Snowiest New England Winter in years and I bought this after the first 2ft snow storm. We had two more storms of equal or greater amounts and this snow blower handled it no problem. It cut through the heavy snow banks at the end of the driveway and was able to easily clear out the mailbox from the heavy snow bank. Loved the Electric start, but it started easily by hand every time on just one or two pulls. Has 6 Forward and 2 reverse speeds. With the handles folded down, It fit easily in the back of my Saturn Vue and I was able to transport it to help out friends and family. March 16, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by I wish I had bought this years ago After dealing with incompetent and reliable snow plow operators, I decided to purchase a snow blower. I have a very long driveway with two turnarounds. I have been hand shoveling it mostly with the occasional need for a professional. I live in Michigan and get plenty of Lake Effect snow. This machine has a bit of a learning curve. Once you get it down, it is simply a matter of finding the right clearing method to use on your driveway. It took me about 3 times before I developed a good pattern. Once I figured that out, my 350 foot plus driveway takes less than an hour to clear. Note: I also had the problem with the directional control of the chute mentioned in other reviews. I fixed it by loosening the bolts that connect the spiral to the shoot and moving them closer. I then tightened them down and haven't had a problem since. I found out how to do it by reading the manual. February 7, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK This is year 15 and still going strong. Its a little long in the tooth, but I'm about to make my very first repair on this beast. Still runs like new, but it's understandable that wearable parts will have to be replaced at some time. so ill replace the slides and friction wheel and be good for another 15 YEARS. BEST RETURN ON INVESTMENT HANDS DOWN !!! February 2, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A real Workhorse! I purchased this snow blower for my family after a torrential snowstorm covered a few feet of snow over our 400 foot driveway 4 years ago. It can get through a few inches in 8 minutes flat and has no issues with a couple feet of snow. I only had to make a minor adjustment to the hand crank to solve the issue of the chute getting stuck and have had absolutely ZERO issues for years now! It still looks brand new after plenty of use and always starts up on the first pull! Even after 10 month stints of no use it still works perfectly! My parents like the electric start so they don't have to throw out their backs when they use it. Best value for your bucks in this category of snow blowers! February 21, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good machine Set up was a snap. It took longer to remove the machine from the packaging than it took to put it together. Both the electric starter and pull start get the blower started right away. We've had a lot of snow here in northern Massachusetts this year and this blower has easily been throwing the snow over the giant snow banks that have grown larger with each successive snowstorm we've endured. It performs like other machines at a fraction of the price. March 10, 2015
