Answer:
No, this is by power cord only (needs to be a three prong cord). The description says it needs to be at least 12 guage, but this is a fairly average extension cord.

Answer:
Hello. The dimensions of the unit are a height of 52", depth of 22" and a width of 16". I would suggest giving the machine a few inches on all sides to fit in a box. Thank you for your question.

9 in. 6.5-Amp Forward-Rotating Corded Electric Cultivator is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 26.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yard Machines Electric Tiller After tilling a 500 sq ft plot using only a pitchfork and shovel prior to planting sod, I quickly came to realize that I needed to find another means to do the same on a 2nd 500 sq ft area. This tiller fit the bill; efficient, relatively inexpensive, non-polluting, effective, and easy for a woman to use. Because I was tilling an area where sod had originally been planted, I found that the mesh from the old sod became wound up in the tines. The tines were easy to remove, clean and replace. This tiller isn't as heavy-duty as the larger gas powered model that I'd used before, so it takes a little longer to till. But it doesn't take a truck to transport it, takes very little space to store and is now available for any upcoming projects. I'd highly recommend it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yard Machine Electric Cultivator 1st, I have loose soil, it works great in small beds and in a small garden plot (25X30). I replased a Mitis with this one and there is no comparision to the easy of keeping it running without taking it to a repair shop for carboarator repair. It was costing me 160.00 a year to just use my old "tiller" this is just electric cost & keeping it clean. GREAT FOR CLEAN AIR & NO FUEL SPILLS IN YOUR SOIL WHERE YOU GROW FOOD!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product for the price I bought this early spring and have used it extensively to till my entire back yard to prepare my flower and vegatable gardens as well as plant new grass. As a single woman I needed something inexpensive and easy to use, and didn't want to spend a lot of money renting one when I knew I wouldn't be able to work all day, and wanted to work at my own pace. This tiller is perfect, inexpensive, easy to use and performs very well. I've had no problems using it and it does not take up much space storing it in my small shop, and no gas fumes to worry about. I absolutely love this machine, I'm glad my mom talked me into getting it. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cut my gardening time in half. I bought this today because I was to lazy to do my usual garden bed preparation by shovel and spade. I worked in a few inches of compost in all of my raised beds in way less than half the time it used to take me. I even put it to the test in some hard packed soil with lots of roots. It never bogged down once. I had considered the gas tiller thinking it would have more power, but I didn't want to mess with a 2 stroke engine, and fuel mixtures and exhaust.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not very Durable I bought this last year to use in my small vegetable garden. It was easy to put together and light weight. I used it in 2 areas with no problem. Less then a year later I plugged it in and used it for about 15 minutes when it quit working. I checked the plug, checked the overload button etc. and it will not start. I then called the support line for Yard Machines and was told after about 1/2 hour of hemming and hawing that I would need to take the machine to a service center about 20 miles away. When I called the service center they said they could not work on electrical problems. I went online and found the Yard machines website and within 5 minutes found the same info it took the customer service woman 1/2 hour to find...,and found a different support number to call. After some discussion they decided it was better to just refund my money then to try and get it fixed. Apparently this is a common problem with this model. Now I have to go through buying another cultivator to finish the job I started and wait for my refund check...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Love it! For a "mature woman" this is the ideal tiller. Easy to use and the results are incredible. Just want to clarify that I am using this often to till already worked ground but have also used it to widen flower beds by digging through the grass. I have shown before and after pictures to my family and friends who can't believe it. This is probably not good for large areas but for what I am using it for it is perfect. Saves so much hard work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great rototiller for small spaces Does an excellent job in the 3 - 4' x 8' raised gardens we have. It's light enough to pick up an move around with ease. I was done in 15 minutes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome I live in the city and have a smaller patch (4'x10' or so) we've set aside for a vege garden and this bad boy did its magic so fast that I was looking for other places to use it. I ended up doing a few passes and it still only took about an hour for the whole job. Our dirt is prepped better than it ever has been in past years. I wish I bought this years ago. I got the electric since I knew I'd be storing it indoors and didn't want the smell/hazard of having a gas tank in the house. Clean up was a snap.
