It did not work at all. Actually it made it worse as some point out. Do not waste your time by trying this.

I don't know how it's possible, but I believe, this may have made the clog worse.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lish Cleared an extremely slow draining tub
Used in a rental unit (for women exclusively) where there is always a lot of long hair that usually manages to work its way past the drain screen. It worked with the first application but as the water was still just a bit slower in draining than anticipated, did a second treatment and the tub now empties as intended. Basically, one needs to continue to do pipe maintenance on a regularly scheduled basis if you don't want to eventually pay the exorbitant cost of professional plumbing services, or having to deal with running a 'snake' yourself. An analogy would be driving a car, yet never changing the oil or performing other basic routine maintenance.

I been using the ZEP brand drain opener for years.Good stuff. I leave it in for 2-3 hours and it works good. I like it better than draino. The ZEP purple cleaner works great also, it is really strong, acid like - so use caution.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Badger Poured $10 down the drain and nothing happened
Poured $10 down the drain and did not work. Poured it down the drain multiple times as directed on the bottle. Snaked the drain and then used this again and it still didn't work. Went to Home Depot and the associate recommended Instant Power drain cleaner (the black bottle). Used it that evening and it worked. Don't waste your time, money, and energy on this I would highly recommend Instant Power drain cleaner instead.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tom Hair Clog Remover - it worked on my clogged drain
It worked. Prior to this, I had used a "Hair and Clog Remover", which did not clear the clog of hair and soap in the drain. I asked a store clerk which product they might recommend. This Zep product, which contains enzymes to dissolve the clog, was recommended and worked on the first use. I recommend it for clearing hair and soap clogs from bathroom drains.

After a week of bailing out the tub because of a clogged drain and a leaking faucet I was ready to pull my hair out...the plumber came and recommended Zep 10 minute Hair Clog Remover, we emptied the tub, and poured in down the drain. When the plumber came back the next morning to repair the faucet, the drain was fine. What a relief.
