Liquid in the kitchen sink would drain slowly over night, but would fill up when the water was turned on.
After pouring the entire jug down the kitchen sink drain over two days and waiting yet another day, it never cleared the clog.
A big waste of time and money.

This is an Alkaline based drain cleaner (Bleach and Lye) which works well especially on sinks or shower drains which are clogged by hair and soap scum. This tends to be cheaper than other fancier foaming brands but I find it works just as well.
The only other product I have used which worked better was some dry pellet form drain cleaner which I used in the middle east. It literally smoked and boiled in the pipes. Not sure if you can legally buy that in the US but it may be worth a shot if this product does not work for you.

I believe I jspent $11 for a bottle of bleach. That's what it looks and smells like. This stuff is junk, have used almost the entire bottle over the last two weeks with no success.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Boxcar It worked - for me
Bottom line: it worked well for me, unlike negative view of some.
Detail: Apartment in 50 year old high rise. Bathroom sink with 12 foot horizontal run with presumably slight grade to vertical soil pipe. Very slow draining with little or no help from plunging. Instructions: "16 ounces" . I applied 32 ounces to get plenty of cleaner past trap under sink and let sit overnight. Vast improvement. Following night for insurance: 48 ounces. Still draining perfectly after 2 weeks! Bonus: Gallon ( 128 ounces) under $10.00 at Home Depot - maybe cheapest of about a dozen products. Different reviews (and results) may be due to differences in composition of the clogs. I have no idea what mine was.

Our Problem: In 60 year old bldg low draining of bathroom basin that has ~8 foot lateral pipe with low gradient to vertical drop. Other cures ( chemicals, plunger ) only partial successful and didn't last long. Bought this item 4 months ago. Used double quantity (32 ounces) . It worked! Two weeks drain slowing up again, repeated with 32 ounces; Working fine. At $2.50 per treatment it's cheap & effective.

Bathroom sink was draining very, very slowly. Tried a lot of other liquid drain cleaning products in the past and always had to get a plumber to snake it out. Instructions call for 16 ounces, but I used about 32 to make sure it got further down the pipe. Waited about 15 minutes and then ran hot water. Significant improvement. Repeated the process and the drain seemed to be normal.
