Answer:
In my opinion 100% safe. I have brushed nickel in my bathrooms and use this regularly. Since Brushed Nickel is the "scratching" done to nickel plated metal and then the clear coat is applied or the nickel is bare, this product will clean all. I find it much better than the "name brand" products in the grocery or discount stores.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Without a doubt the best cleaning product for calcium/lime/rust that I have ever used!!! We have very hard water in our area and I am constantly cleaning the hard water deposits from our bathroom sinks, kitchen sinks and other areas in our home. I have been using another popular cleaning product for years and it did a good job, but I would always spend a considerable amount of time soaking and scrubbing to get the hard water deposits off...and some of them I have never been able to get completely clean. While at Home Depot recently, I went to pick up a bottle of the same product that I have been using when I noticed the Zep brand. The Zep brand was almost $2 dollars less than the other brand so I initially thought to myself that it must not be as good as the other brand because it was cheaper. For some reason, I decide to give the Zep brand a try. When I got home the first area I tried to clean was the bathroom sinks in our master bathroom. The hard water deposits had gotten so bad that I could not unscrew the ring at the bottom of the spout to get to the filter screen. I had tried numerous times scrubbing with the other brand, but was never able to get it completely off. I took a small amount of the Zep product and put it on a toothbrush and started scrubbing, I could not believe how fast the deposit was coming off with just a little scrubbing. I ended up taking a plastic cup that I had cut about 3/4 off the top and then strapped it to the faucet so I could pour enough Zep into the cup so the area could soak. I figured I might have to leave it overnight with how bad the deposit was on the faucet, but I checked on it about 15 minutes later and I couldn't believe it but all of the hard water deposit was gone. All I had to do was take a wet rag and wipe it clean. I was amazed at how fast this product worked. I have used it on several other items in my house that I had given up on because the other product I was using had never taken enough off that i thought it might be able to get it completely off with more scrubbing. A neighbor of mine stopped by my house the day that I cleaned my bathroom sinks and I asked him if he had the same problem with hard water deposits. He said all of their faucets were just like mine. I gave him some of my Zep cleaner and told him to give it a try. He called me later that evening to tell me how amazing the Zep product was. It took off all of his hard water deposits just like mine. I will definitely recommend this product without a doubt...it is amazing!! May 11, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not what I thought We were told it would remove rust stains from our sidewalks and driveway, but it did not. We tried Goof Off and that product worked great and it was less expensive. May 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by sander hard to find 1/3 sheet sanders anymore. Not on shelf. Had to order online. time will tell if it holds up, but first use was good. May 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Zep Calcium, Lime, Rust Remover Excellent product. Did exactly what I wanted on a filthy old toilet. April 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product Works just as well as leading brands. Great price for the quantity. April 12, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Okay The performance is just okay for me. It works but not easily. Plus more is use because the bottle is a pour spout. If there were a sprayer on the bottle then less would be need to put in places where it needed to go. The ring in my bowl wasn't completely remove even after let it stand for a while and brushing, it was still visible. I was disappointed with it. April 1, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by OK I used this product on my patio because the rain would leave spots a foot into the patio. I was informed it was due to calcium or lime. It did not remove the white completely maybe 1/3. March 1, 2016
