Kitchen countertop tiles

Is this product safe to use on Kitchen countertop tile grout?
Asked by: emily
Hi Emily, grout is grout. Just be sure to sponge it off the tile with water after you have cleaned the grout.

Can it be used on grout on walls of shower. Descriptions says no-earlier reply says yes. Does this mean shower tile walls? Why or why not?

Asked by: SKinreho
On the floors you kind of squirt it on and you're supposed to let it sit for a few minutes. I imagine that'd be a little difficult on a wall but you could give it a shot. The liquid has the consistency of water, not very thick so it would run pretty quickly. May not provide as effective results as it would on the floor, but it should help.

32 oz. Grout Cleaner (Case of 12) is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 279.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works wonders My floors were embarrasingly disgusting, the white grout was black in some places and the tiles had a dirt film over it that wouldn't come off no matter how much I mopped. I decided to try this grout cleaner because of the reviews and I am glad I did. It was a lot of work that was back breaking but now I just stare at my floors because they came out so great. I used a grout brush for the grout itself and a hand bristle brush to scrub the tiles, two buckets, one for clean water and one to rinse the brushes off in. My husband had knee pads which saved my knees so I'd definitely recommend those as well. It's the most cost effective and best way to get your floors shining again.

It's taken a few cleaning sessions to get it to where it needs to be and I think with regular use I will be able to keep the grout looking white easily. The hardest part to clean with this is mildew because it doesn't come off in one session. That may have more to do with the type of grout that was used in my shower because there is a lot of texture to it. Overall I'm happy with the cleaning abilities of this product. Just be aware that (like the label says) it can bleach your tile. I tossed it around pretty liberally the one day and left it sit for a while and I now have some bleached splotches.

This grout cleaner/whitener worked perfectly for our tile floors and dirty grout. It was very simple to use! I vacuumed the floor first to remove loose debris, then applied the cleaner to the grout and allowed it to sit for 30-60 seconds. It started to foam and I could see white foam turning dark from loosening up the dirt. I then used a grout cleaning brush (purchased at HD as well) to briefly scrub the grout, which helped to remove the remaining dirt. I then wiped up the dirty liquid with a paper towel and rinsed it with water and a fresh towel/mop. The results were astonishing! My kitchen floors look just like new! I've also used it on our shower grout and results were similar! Don't bother with any other cleaner out there, just buy this one! Highly recommend!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best grout cleaner I've ever purchased It's very rare that I say this, but: this product is UNDERPRICED. For the price I paid for it, I expected mediocre results. I was amazed at how clean this made my grout. Use it as the label recommends and you won't be disappointed. Yes, it does require scrubbing with a brush, but not much. The acid does most of the work; you just have to use the brush to get the crud out so you can wipe it away with a sponge. As for the fumes: I'm asthmatic, but I didn't have to wear a mask. I just kept a fan blowing across the floor while I worked. Can't recommend this product enough. And, as someone else mentioned: you won't see the final results until it has completely dried.

Instead of cleaning it, it darkens it. I have used according to directions and wiped up right away. Not sure if it is for certain grout, ours is a sanded grout. Not a winner, now I have to try to clean the stained darker grout.

This stuff really works. It is quick, easy to work with, cheap and the results are impressive. My grout lines look like the day they were new, this after 12 years of heavy traffic, dirt and grime. Two teenagers who typically don't notice much even commented that the floors looked great. At least in my area Home Depot the product was not in the tile section but rather in the cleaning materials isle. It is worth looking for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This grout cleaner really works! I just bought a second bottle. We bought a house a few months ago and the grout was awful. I wasn't sure we could get it white again. I got a grout brush for about $8 and put it on the end of a pole and used it with this cleaner and it worked great. I had to do a few areas a second time. The smell is bad but I have a sensitivity to smells and was able to tolerate it so it's not as bad as the perfume many people wear. The picture shows an area I did next to the area not done in the laundry room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best best best This stuff is the easiest to use and work great! I have a pet-sitting business so I have lots of pet traffic in my house and quite a few accidents. The grout in my house was super dark and to be honest, I just thought it was that color. I bought this stuff and it's not dark grout! It's so easy to use as well. You techinically don't have to scrub to get it clean but it comes out looking better for you scrub it. Let it sit for a minute or two and the grout cleans right up!!
