Hi Anonymous - I do believe so. I used mine many months ago and do remember using it in both the sink and the toilet bowl. I would just go ahead and try it since it's not going to hurt it. Good luck Anonymous and I hope this helps you.

This is a drain maintenance product and is not intented to remove clogs. I would suggest a plundger or pipe snake.

Hi JW - since it's been months ago that I had this product, I don't recall the instructions. But it may be similiar to other drainers, by pouring it in the toilet and giving it about 15-30 minutes to settle. If it doesn't work, repeat. Good luck JW and I hope this helps you.

Answer:
Hi DS, not sure to be honest. You can try it. What I'd suggest is you get a toilet snake (cheaper than a plumber) and get to plumbing. Good luck DS, and I hope this helps you.

64 oz. Drain Build Up Remover is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 31.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't work, waste of money I used this product for 4 nights in a row on a slow kitchen drain and it did nothing. My problem was the black slime that builds up in the pipes and it slows the drain about every 3 years. I used a snake to clear the drain and decided to do an experiment. I scooped out some of the black slime and put it in a jar with the drain cleaner and after 24 hours nothing happened. It didn't dissolve it or break it down in any way. This product is a complete waste of money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well The drain plug in our shower is design such that every single strand of hair makes it down the drain. Of course this results in clogs. I've recently switched to a product that helps prevent clogs, but I still keep this product on hand for times I feel water isn't draining quite as fast as it should, not only in the showers but in our sinks as well. It does a much better job than a store brand drain cleaner I used to buy. The only downside is for it to work as designed, you have to remember to use it 3 days in a row, and you can't use the drain for 6 hours after use. It can be a slight inconvenience, but it's worth the sacrifice for clear pipes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as promised You will need more than the recommended 1oz, and they're not kidding when they say wait 6 hours. I poured approximately 2 cups into a shower drain clogged with hair (long thick hair!)and only ran a small amount of water in with it. After 5 hours my tub was full of black water, I plunged the drain and everything began to drain quickly! Flushed with about 6 cups of boiling water and the drain is running perfect.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works Well But Takes a While This ZEP 64 oz. Drain Care worked well but it is important to note that it is NOT a clog remover. I used this on on my wife's sink in our master bathroom. She always rinses her hair down the sink which slowly builds up and slows the drain. After running hot water for a couple of minutes, I poured 8 oz. of Drain Care down the drain, then followed that with 16 oz of hot water. It's best if you let it sit for about six hours. I let it sit the entire day while we were at work. The drain now flows with no backup at all. Drain Care works well just remember it's not for clogs but more for maintenance.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't Work I followed direction and put the stuff down the drain every night for weeks. I still have a slow and gurgling kitchen drain. I have 2 oz left. Tonight will finish the bottle and conclude the waste of the $8.98 I spent for this stuff.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nontoxic Alternative that Works for Slow Drains I bought this because I wanted a nontoxic alternative. Most drain cleaners use sodium hydroxide which is highly caustic while this product uses enzymes. However, because it doesn't use dangerous chemicals, it will take more time to clear a drain. I used it twice a day for few days in a row for my shower drain. It did work but it took some time. You must also read the directions which tell you to use hot water to activate the enzymes. I would only recommend this for minor slow drains and not for drain blockages. I inspected a section of pipe after use and noticed the inside of the pipe looked almost completely clean.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for slow drains This is a great routine drain maintenance product. As with all home-ownership tasks, maintenance is far better than waiting for a problem to fix. This product will help prevent the build-up that causes blockages. It uses an enzyme rather than caustic heavy-duty chemicals that can be harmful and dangerous to use. I'll never forget the exciting episode in home-ec class where a janitor mixed two different drain products to try and clear a sink drain. It doesn't work as fast, but the trade-off for safety is a winner here. Follow the directions, and you'll be pleased with the results. I used this to clear up a slow shower drain in the guest bathroom, and I'll be happy to use this for continued maintenance of the drain.
