Customer Questions & Answers

How is this secured to the floor?

I've installed 2 piece T molding before where the bottom is female and it gets screwed or nailed to the floor then the finish piece snap into and locks into the bottom piece with serrated edges allowing for uneven transtitions... I this just nail through topside? If so, is there a matching fill stick?
Asked by: Girtski
The track comes with anchors and screws and the transition snaps down onto the track.

If you do not own an appropriate saw at home, can a Hone Depot associate help with cutting the desired molding lengths?

Asked by: Alleygator99
Home Depot employees told me they do not cut this type of item. Go figure. I am disabled and do not have saws.

Is there a coordinating stain?

I would like to stain my new baseboard to match, is there a reccomened stain to use??
Asked by: JnGD
You are much better off getting real wood and staining it. This stuff is like cardboard underneath that fits into the metal track and dry rots and disintegrates after about 2 years. It happened to me and my sister as well. I do not recommend.

What is the best method to attache the metal channel to a concrete floor?

Asked by: Tom
I attached mine using a longer screw and larger anchor. Use a drill bit made for drilling in concrete to create the hole for the anchor. Drill a bit farther down than the screw and anchor. It should hold pretty tight.
