It is available in this color and does come in 47 inch lengths. If you have just one step down such as a sunken room off a hallway, stairnose is the more appropriate solution. How is stairnose like this typically installed?

I assume this product comes with some sort of track system for it to rest in, similar to the other vinyl/laminate modlings and transitions. However it's not pictured.

How would this be installed? (DIY or professionally)

Does the molding rest entirely on an installed track? Also, does it lay flush with the top of the stair, if covering with - say - a piece of Allure plank. Would a Vinyl Riser be slipped underneath the nose portion, or would you install it up to the bottom of this stairnose?

The main gist of the question is - how viable/recommended is this stairnose as opposed to Cap-A-Tread? Cap A Tread is simple enough with a stair with a preexisting stairnose, but in application with square steps, would this simply be installed along the edge of the step, with Allure on top and a riser on the front?
