Rated 2 out of 5 by Be prepared to fix it Thanks to the previous reviewer who left part information, I was able to pretty easily fix my dehumidifier that stopped working after a little over a year. This unit, if you're not handy, is not the unit for you. It appears the humidity sensor fails, in which case, you need to order a new wiring harness that includes that sensor and replace. The part with shipping was less than $20 for me, and it wasn't at all difficult, just lots of screws. It's still cheaper than a lot of units out there, and I'm not convinced they don't all fail prematurely (electronics and moisture don't go well together in most situations) I am better knowing I can fix this if it fails again. The question is, should I have to? Probably not. But I will since I've had it long enough. When it works, it works exceptionally well. January 19, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Seem Unit is defective Seems I have experienced the same problem as many others.after about 2.5 years of use... Humidity Setting stuck at 01 and the Bucket Full light flashes every 6 seconds. I will read other reviews to see if anyone else has successfully fixed it.. If so, I will give it a shot.. but most likely I will be buying a new one soon. My last dehumidifier was 20 years old when someone gave it to me and I had it for about 15. November 13, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Sensor Failed Bought 6/2010, stopped working 4/2012. I had the common blinking bucket empty light and humidity level stuck at 1%. Searched the web and found out that the culprit is a $18 ($25 w/shipping) sensor... part# AP4652359 at Appliance Parts Pros. Only needed a phillips head screwdriver and 30-45 minutes. Pretty simple. Dehumidifier ran successfully overnight, so I think I'm good for awhile. April 12, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Unit This unit worked well for 4 years and 3 months. Started icing up on the top of the unit, but still worked. The filter was clean, so I decided to buy a new unit. October 3, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Only worked for about 2 seasons After the first 2 seasons the unit would flash a 01 on the display and the bucket full light would sometimes come on (bucket was not full) Unit would not run. I'm afraid the cost to fix it will be at least half of what I paid for it. Manual was no help. September 5, 2014
