Product Overview

ZeroWater is not an ordinary water filter. ZeroWater delivers a unique 5-Stage Ion Exchange technology compared to conventional 2-Stage filtration. Enjoy the purest tasting water with a filter that removes 99.6% of TDS (total dissolved solids) from your tap water, such as Aluminum, Zinc, Nitrate, Fluoride and more. It is the only water filter that meets FDA standards for TDS in purified bottled water. This provides you with a pour-through, gravity fed filter certified by the NSF to reduce Lead and other heavy metals; such as Chromium 3 and 6. This 8-cup pitcher features a push-and-pour spout so you can conveniently fill your cup with one hand. You will know when it’s time to change your filter as every pitcher comes with a water testing meter, which measures the total dissolved solids in your water.

Does this pitcher take nitrates out of the water?

Asked by: Freckleface
the person that said go to the actual zero water website gave you the right idea. I think there's supposed to be five or six stages of the filtration system. I read online that it takes a really really long time for it to filter compared to maybe a Brita but its supposed to get rid of fluoride which is not good for us believe it or not. don't pay attention to what the dentist said all these years about fluoride. I'm not going to go into depth about it but I know for a fact that fluoride is harmful and it's in many of the things that we ingest. if this particular picture is like the one that I read about on the website then it will take the fluoride out. That is the main thing because the other ones don't. Google the hazards of fluoride and you will be amazed. we've been bamboozled into believing it's good for teeth. Trust me on this one I used to work for a company as a chemist now I'm retired but I know why fluoride is put in so many objects and products. feel like I'm getting off subject but I'm not again I'm talking about the picture should get rid of fluoride but make sure its this pitcher by going to the website

Please use the TDS (total dissolved solids) meter which came with your pitcher. Place the TDS meter in your filtered tap water, when this meter lights up you should change your filter.

I bought this and the little tester thing did not work so I emailed Zero Water and they sent a new one out right away - good customer service. The tester said my tap water registered 189 (whatever that means) and after running it through the filter it registered "0"! Great! I tested it on a fresh bottle of bottled water ("Pure Life") and it registered 62. I like "0" better! The filter has been working well and improves the taste of the water. The only negative is the filters are expensive - but probably cheaper than buying bottled water (that has questionable content as well).

A good idea would be to include a storage piece for the filter and filler scoop. Other than that it is fine but I only had it for 2 weeks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product Had a Brita unit. My faucet water was 238 TDS and it only brought the TDS down to 183. Decided to try the Zero Water filter. I was amazed, brought the TDS down to zero 000. Recommend it highly

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what we were looking for that was reasonably priced I was looking for a filter to remove fluoride from city sources. We have well water at our home, but when we travel, it is a convenient way to remove unwanted substances. It filters the water pretty quickly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Zero Water filter with 8 Cup Pitcher The pitcher needs a small vent to let air in when pouring the water out so it will come out without splashing. So far the pitch is working well. My coffee, tea and drinking water is tasting so much better than the pitcher I was using. Sure could use some coupons from the company to get some money off when getting the refill filters, I filled that part out online but so far I have not heard or received nothing from them. I would like to see a Company that care's enough to live up to what they say they will do....and follow up on it. Trying to stay healthy coast us old people a lot. So far a happy camper with the water quality. kazgal

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best water filtration available in a pitcher-style You can actually taste the difference between this filtration system and Brita. Plus, it comes with a tester so you have a good idea when to change the filter. The only downside is that the replacement filters are pricey, and you have to change them more often than you'd think. However, if you're concerned about the quality of your water supply, it's worth the extra price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice Product so far so good. I would say the pitcher has saved me quiet a bit of money on buying water from the store. My tap water reads 85 ppm's which from what I have read is excellent. I have always raved about the water at my work which is filtered water fountains and that read at 35-40 ppm's. The Zero water reads 0 still and it has been a month with the same filter. The taste is excellent. In my opinion, if you have tap water that reads 300 or more ppm's the filter may only last a few weeks were people like me who have very good tap water the filter may last well over a month or two. Filters are expensive and the pitcher drains very slowly. Definitely worth it! Thanks.
