Just bought the 6 cup filter and noticed the top must be removed to fill it. The only way to do this is to put a finger in the spout and pry up. Not very good way to get filtered water. Also the spout causes side spillage.

I purchased this great looking pitcher for my son. He loves it. He recommended tp his friends. I think this is the best buy ever. He has been drinking more water and staying away from sodas. I am really happy to finally found a pitcher that is easy to use and filter the tap water. Definitely recommended to everyone. I think the ad kind of sold me on this pitcher after doing some research.

I've been looking for a home water filter that's affordable AND that would remove or reduce "fluoride" among the numerous other chemicals that are put into our water for sanitizing, pipe preservation...etc. This Zerowater system does it all! Thank You!

Description: Nicely made pitcher, with fitted insert to hold screw in filter canister. Canister fits snugly with an O ring. Fillup tray holds about 3 cups, so you have to fill it twice to get the 6 cup capacity of filtered water in the pitcher. Performance of the filter was awesome when new, but crashed after a week of use and left the water tasting slightly lemony one day and downright sour and metallic the next. Scary! Web search revealed that this is a common complaint with this filter . My water comes straight from a treated municipal water supply. After carefully scrutinizing the hype on the package, I bought the zero pitcher so I wouldn't have to throw away so many plastic bottles; Now I'm throwing away a plastic pitcher.

I brought this product more than a month ago. Since then, I'm using it every day for purifying my drinking water for tea and cooking. I'm showing it to my friends and telling them all the features and advantages of the filter system. Some of them noticed the difference in tasting of the water. I am really happy with the product because it supports my effort in changing my eating habit to the healthier more organic way. (Note: I did know about the stainless steel pitcher when I brought this product. I would have brought something with less plastic.)

I did buy this 2 weeks ago, however the filter expired sooner then I thought. I suppose there is simply too many contaminates with Toronto's water.
While it does as advertised I could not recommend this to anyone as I do not find value with this product. There could be someone who gives clean water a very high value and would pay the premium.
as a business I don't think they will last long unless they can improve the filter to be more efficient to save $$$.

I used zero water filter for my chemistry project. First we collect the water from our homes. Then we tested the water with a different parameter like iron, chlorine, bacteria, ph ,nitrates, water hardness and copper. The only element that was present in my water was nitrates. We needed to use a filter to remove the nitrates from the water, then we went to the Zero Water website and it says it removed 99% of nitrates. So we tried to filter the water then after we filtered the water we tested the water again and the nitrate level did lower from 5 ppm to 1 ppm, so I would recommend others to get this filter because it made the water more cleaner.
