I purchased this as a last resort to seal some peeling paint, and cover minor imperfections in a bathroom where the wallpaper had been stripped badly. It went on so easily, and covered great! I did several coats in small areas, and it dried quickly. The paint went on very smoothly afterward! Very pleased with the results!

This stuff is not nearly as good as I had believed it would be. Using a sprayer for old siding, it did not hide bad wood spots very well. It also was pretty hard on the spray tip, continually clogging, even though I made sure to purchase the correct size tip (4 stores to find one).
Trying to use it as a grain-hidng/smoothing coat on wood cabinets was a joke. A roller put it on extremely thin with little texture peaks that did not flow/smooth out. With a brush left the same results, little streaks of primer and could see the wood below between them.
We switched over to using Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 we had used in the past and it went on much better. I can't say that if spraying the cabinets would have been any better or not (I'd hope so).
I'm sure it's a quality product, as everygthing by this company I have purchased in the past, but I don't like this particular products application. I am guessing the hiding it is referring to would be slight cracks and wood grain, but it must be sprayed if you want any kind of decent finished texture.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by LukeSky7 misleading claims on label
Claims of "triple thick" and "high build" led me to purchase this product. My home is 95 years old with wooden lap siding. There are many imperfections that I was hoping this primer would help cover. However, despite the thickness of the primer as it appears in the can, it goes on extremely thin and transparent and hides very little. I loaded up the brush as heavily as I could but that did not help. It just seems to disappear into a milky, opaque, thin layer. Multiple coats did not help much. Now, does it work in the long run? Will it help my paint job last for years and years without peeling? I don't know, time will tell. But as far as the claims on the can it's a major disappointment. And at $35 a gallon, an expensive major disappointment.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Flick Pretty good primer
I bought this triple thick primer because I have wonky walls in my 100 yr old house. I thought this might cover some of the damage from over the years. It is a good primer but it did not help much. However, it is my fault for thinking it would, as the product does not state that it will help with this type of problem. So, good overall but I will stick with Zinsser's Gripper from now on.

I purchased this product to help cover up some drywall patchwork and failing paint in my bathroom prior to painting. The primer is very thick, but it goes on very thin. After doing a section of my wall, it's hard to tell that I applied anything at all and it didn't dry white.
