The Zinsser Cover Stain 1-gal. Oil White Interior/Exterior Primer and Sealer can be used in low temperatures and sticks to any surface without sanding. Its tintable oil-based formula seals stains from water, smoke, fire, nicotine and tannin bleed and it dries to the touch in as little as 30 minutes. The 1-gal. can covers areas up to 400 sq. ft. and the paint should be reapplied after 1 hour for best results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Coverage Applied Rust oleum Primer to trailer and Zinsser primer to sides, then coated all with Rust oleum paint. All paint went on easily and gave coverage as indicated on can. Dry times also matched the can. The finish paint seemed to adhere well to the Zinsser primer. The only thing I noticed was the first few days the finish paint seemed to abrade easily, but has hardened over time. Don't recommend you put your item to use as soon as the paint dries, give a few days to harden. "Little Red" looks as good as new. Hope you like bright colors. October 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Zinsser is a quality product for priming I've used the Zinsser primer product for both interior and exterior priming work. The most recent was for use on treated lumber hand rails for a deck. The coverage is great. The latex paint product I used on top of the oil based primer adhered very well and the final product looks great. I look forward to many years of use with minimal, if any maintenance. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Product I love this product. Most recently I've used it on a old dark buffet that I wanted to paint white. It's pretty thick so I had to thin it. October 14, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Thick Coverage This primer is very thick and it covers good over the stains, chips and blemishes, I have used this primer on our 45 foot boat hull and then painted over with high gloss boat paint. It looks great. I also used it on our decks and over non skid which had some chips and it filled and covered it completely. I tried not to use paint thinner at all but to keep the brush/roller going it is necessary. December 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent primer. Excellent at covering ceiling stains. Latex primers are a waste of money if you are trying to stop stains from coming through your top coat. Also great primer for wood. Stops bleed through and is easy to sand. One warning, many painters wrap their brushes and rollers in plastic and leave them for days between use. That works great for latex, but this oil base primer will pretty much harden even in plastic within a week. I add some mineral sprits and then wrap the brush or roller in plastic between uses of a few hours or up to a couple days. March 4, 2014
