Answer:
I personally have never painted glass with this product. I would lightly scuff the glass surface with a fine sandpaper before using the Zinsser primer. My best advice is try on a scrap piece of glass if you have any laying around to see if it would work. I have painted glass with multi surface craft paints from Michael's .

Answer:
I don't think so, if it does work on glass it should say on the label.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Priming is a necessary step for a steel door. It glides on smooth ! It dries well and made the appearance of the door to look professional... as I am an amateur!

Used on a new major remodel as a primer on new sheetrock. As a DIYer finishing sheetrock is a challenge. It always looks different painted then "raw" no matter how much it's skim coated. This product goes on easily, drys quickly to a stark white appearance. The stark white makes identifying finishing flaws easier, when you see a shadow there's a reason, it isn't a difference in skim coat thickness. Skipping the primer on past projects contributed to dissatisfaction with the finished wall. Really feel this is a big help for a DIY'er.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You can't go wrong with Zinser The Zinser primer is easy to use. It's almost thick as paint but rolls on easy and dries very fast. It dries in less than an hour at about 75 degrees F. I did a 9 x 3 x 9 closet in less than an hour and that was 2 coats on new green board drywall and mud. I let that set a day to thoroughly dry out and painted the next day with no problems. The picture shows the painted closet and a bare primed wall to the right of that. At 2 coats, there was still a hint of green board showing through the primer. Zinser doesn't disappoint and the price is right at Home Depot.

This product bills itself as a high-hide primer suitable for new drywall, but results were disappointing. Product was watery and did not cling to the roller, creating a messy application. More importantly, drywall joints, pencil marks, drywall paper texture, etc. all telegraphed through. Tried a second coat, but the result was only marginally improved. Everything still telegraphed through. If all you need is a sealer, this probably does the job, but if you'r looking to hide or improve the wall surface consistency, look elsewhere. I ended up breaking down and buying a better product from SW. SW Builders Solution Surfacer A63W 100 gave far superior results, with a near level-5 drywall finish resulting. Additionally, the product was easy to apply wit a 3/8" nap roller. It's more expensive, but it will save you time and give you better results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome coverage over trailer walls A relative had purchased a modular home in a 55 and older mobile home park. This modular home is a 1981 & the walls were very dated with flowered wallboard, The Zinsser product covered the pattern very well in one coat. The painters did the ceiling which had yellow cigarette smoke. They painted all the walls then we went over with the topcoat you cannot see the flowered wallpaper.

I worked with it on brand new dry wall and also over existing walls with dark colors that were to be painted with lighter color. For the drywall - 1 coat is enough.,.... however, as expected, to hide existing darker paint in preparation for a new, light color paint - 2 or even 3 might coats might be needed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Can be used as an exterior Primer I used this primer to prime the plywood roof on a small tree house. Application was easy, and it dried fairly quickly. However, part of an area coated about an hour before the rain started was partially washed off. I had to put on another coat after all dried out. The exterior paint I used after the primer coat is holding on without any problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product. We had a lot of wallpaper removed, and although I washed walls was worried about glue residue. This stuff was flawless. Also used to prime new drywall, and newly textured ceilings. I have used all the others in the past, this was by far my favorite.
