Answer:
Adding Zinsser Roll-A-Tex additive to paint does not affect the coverage. If the gallon you are adding it to cover 400 sq ft, it will cover the same amount with the additive.

I am repainting a bathroom after removing wallpaper. The wall finish is not smooth, so I want to apply a texture, and want to first prime the walls to ensure a lasting bond. If advisable, I would like to apply Roll-A-Tex in the primer to see how the finish will look before applying a latex enamel.

Answer:
Yes, that should work fine, and if you don't like it, you could probably scrape it off with a blade. It will cover any small in-perfections and look great. I've done several bathrooms with it after taking down wallpaper, but I've always added it to the paint. Good luck!

Mobile home bathroom has a vinyl wallpaper (not removable) that has one texture, paneling with another texture and other texture from spackling joints of paneling, and I would like one texture that would hide all of these different textures. Can it be done by adding this stuff to semi gloss enamel?

Works great in a bathroom to cover any imperfections, especially if you took down wallpaper. I've used it several times and it always looks great.

Answer:
To use, add 4 ounces of Roll-A-Tex Additive for every quart of paint. Depending on preference, more or less Roll-A-Tex product may be added to achieve rougher or finer surface. Mix thoroughly using a slotted paint paddle or mechanical agitator to ensure the additive is incorporated. The Roll-a-Tex works in all paints, varnishes and is fine to use in a bathroom.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product for hiding small flaws The sand texture additive is a great product, especially if you want to paint a room with tiny flaws. My husband thinks the whole house should be painted with the sand additive! He loved it as much as I did, and we finally didn't have to buy the expensive "texture" paint. Now we can mix it ourselves! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quality Product Excellent product. We mixed it with epoxy paint for concrete pool stairs. October 21, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by worked pretty good worked pretty well and went on good. One lb won't fit in the gallon of paint so you need to mix in another bucket because it will overflow. To be safe I used about 1-1/2 boxes to one gallon of paint. Added a nice look February 24, 2014
