Answer:
My best answer is "MAYBE" It will lock in most stains and act as a barrier between the top coat and the wall. I know it works on magic marker, and Crayola if not to heavy. Wax is a tough one to try to top coat over I might suggest to find your answer on YouTube? But still worth a try might take a few coats with drying in between coats.

Answer:
Happy to help. Apply 1 or more light coats of Zinsser Shellac Traditional Finish and Sealer. Several light coats work best when applied with a brush, pad or lint-free wiping cloth and let dry for 1 hour before sanding with 220 grit or finer sandpaper.

Answer:
Great question. Zinsser Shellac Traditional Finish and Sealer is recommended for interior use only. It is not designed to withstand the elements of the outdoors. Instead, use Rust-Oleum Concrete Sealer to seal and protect our concrete projects. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Rust-Oleum-1-gal-Concrete-Low-Lustre-Sealer-2-Pack-260432/203585014

Customer Reviews

Rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1 reviewer.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I used this stuff for the first time last weekend and loved it. After waiting around 12 hours for my first coat of polyurethane to dry I had to find something else as my customer would be picking up in 8 hours. It adhered great to the poly. I used my HVLP gun to spray it and it required no thinning. I did however thin the next 3 coats 50/50 with denatured alcohol which worked great. Very little mess, no odor, dries fast, sands easy (400 grit) for a smooth finish, and i didn't get a lot of over spray mess like I do with lacquer. I think this is my new go-to finish for furniture projects. October 25, 2016
