This was my first time removing wallpaper, so I'm not sure if I was the problem or the product was the problem. In any event, I used the Tiger (maybe not enough) and the Gel (maybe not enough), and ended up removing lots and lots of small pieces of wallpaper. I was positively ecstatic when a piece as large as a dinner plate sometimes came off. It ended up taking a long time and was very messy. I also noticed some Tiger holes when I subsequently painted the wall. Next time I'll try steaming and see if that works any better.

We had a tough job with two layers of paper. The wall had not been sized for the first layer, so it was a lot ot ask of the remover kit. The kit punctured holes in the paper but even a rented heavy duty commercial steamer was an enormous effort. I will never wallpaper or remove wallpaper again.

I used the DIF to remove wallpaper and border on my daughters room from when she was a baby 14 years ago. My daughter scored the wallpaper/border all over, and then I heavily saturated the wallpaper with the DIF. I had to wait about 30 - 40 minutes (20 min didn't work) before the wallpaper started coming off. I was able to pull the paper off, and what didn't come off easily I used the paper scraper. Since the DIF only covered 1/2 a wall, I used the empty bottle (the DIF came in), and put very hot water in the bottle and sprayed the rest of the paper in the section that I had already removed most of the paper. The hot water helped the remaining paper come off. I sprayed the hot water in small sections and lightly because I didn't want to saturate the walls. So to sum up 1 bottle of DIF covered a section of wall that was 5 ft in length and 7ft in width. For me (a woman) it was easy and not tiring, so well worth it. There are a few sections where I may have scraped too hard, so I will just use a good primer before painting. So needless to say I am going back to HD to purchase a few more bottles.

Removing wallpaper is an awful job, but...I must say, these products did work very well - as long as I did it as a 4 step process. First, I used the paper tiger to score the paper everywhere. Then, one or 2 sheets at a time, I sprayed with the Dif gel, let it sit 20 minutes, then peeled it off (I found the paper scraper almost useless). But...this only removed the outer paper layer. I then resprayed all the sticky back layer that was still left (and sprayed the next 2 outer sheets so it could be soaking in). The sticky back paper now came off extremely easily - no need to wait 20 minutes - it soaked thru pretty quickly. Finally, I wiped down the wall with a wet sponge to remove any excess gel. If you leave it there and go back later, it's a real chore to wash it down! By now - you about ready to start on the next 2 sheets you sprayed!
It was a bit slow and tedious (it always is...) but, in the end -it removed every single speck of the old paper much more successfully than I had hoped. I would definitely use it again - much easier and cheaper than renting a steamer. (I did my 'cape style' eat in kitchen and used about 6 bottles if Dif. I was pretty liberal with my usage!)
