The PaperTiger perforates wallpaper and thereby enhances absorption of fluid. The blades are sharp when new, although the single head does mean you need to go over the same area a couple of times to produce a well perforated paper surface. Unfortunately, the design of the PaperTiger limits how close to the trim or wall edge you can perforate. The sharpness of the blades on the wheels does decrease somewhat with use. (I used the PaperTiger for wallpaper removal in 3 rooms.) Only light pressure should be used when using the device, as the blade tips can leave signficant holes (similar to those produced by pushpins) in soft materials like drywall. The PaperTiger is easy to use, and a large wall area can be perforated in a short period. The device is, however, a little pricey for what it offers.

This works well. The only issue is that you can't get near moldings or the ceiling due to the design. Otherwise, it does what it is supposed to.

This product works fine, but it seems cheaply made. The inner workings squeak when using like scratching a chalk board. It is also easy to use too much pressure. I noticed the small holes I was making in my drywall. I suppose it is useful when using the DIF solution, but since I was very disappointed in the DIF and changed to using my steamer the paper tiger was completely unnecessary. The steamer worked great. I could have used the money I spent on the DIF and the paper tiger to treat myself to a meal in the time I saved by using my steamer.

I was perferating paint and wallpaper, so it required some pressure. When it was perferating, it did a great job except the terrible sound.
I went through 4 of these. Seems if you put any pressure on them, the bearings heat up and melt the clip which holds the cutters on. Luckily, I could cobble together 2 working ones from the 4 broken ones to finish my work.
They are inexpensive so, the value is still fair. Make sure you buy more than one of them. I plan on returning the broken ones for a refund it possible.

This tool looks like a remnant from a ninja movie and I was skeptical, but it works. No telling how long my 3 day job removing 2 layers of kitchen wallpaper would have taken without it. Used as directed it will penetrate to the base layer of wallpaper glue. Then you brush on a detergent & water mixture to penetrate the wallpaper and then peel it off. It is still tedious and a slow process but I couldn't imagine doing it without this tool! That said, I hope never to have to remove wallpaper again, with my kudos to the guys and gals who do it for a living!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by thecommish4444 This tool does a great job.
The tool scores the paper enough to allow the liquid to dissolve the paste holding the paper to the wall. Made the job a lot easier. Be careful not to apply too much pressure as you might score the wall as well.
