I do most of my work alone, but there always comes a time when a second person would make the job much safer or faster. This Zip Wall system is just what is needed. While it works great as a dust barrier, I have found it more valuable as a helping hand. Crown molding is always difficult to align and nail. With four adjustable poles, I can align two full pieces of crown molding before I start nailing. The spring loaded end provides just the right pressure to hold things in place and the poles are really easy to adjust.
I set up a dust barrier to enclose the unfinished shower area in the new bathroom. I was skeptical about the stick on Zipper. However, they use a Butyl rubber that will never come off. The Zipper door actually works really well, great for a multi week project that needs to keep dust in and kids out.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0Â by mixerdude Excellent temporary wall and barrier system
My first thoughts for the use of this product was protection from dust and foreign materials from external sources. Rather than use this item as a dust barrier from construction or renovations, I used it to create a temporary paint booth. I set this up as soon as I received it.
I airbrush as a hobby and am concerned with the over-spray when painting, and the occasional wind gust that landed debris on my freshly painted projects. I have always had to cover the surrounding area and hope that I sufficiently protected the area. On one occasion, I was disheartened to see a moth stuck on my freshly painted item.
This system has enabled me to create a painting booth by providing temporary walls that surround my working area. I have a covered work area in which I can use the upright supports as instructed. Using 6-mil clear Visqueen, the temporary walls were resistant to outside conditions, such as wind. Clear plastic allowed sufficient lighting to work in the daytime. I made allowances with the lengths to cover the floor of the booth. The zipper attachment made a great entry way into the booth.
For ventilation, a floor fan was used at one end to vent, and a framed house A/C filter was used for incoming air.
Someday when we remodel the back room in our home, we will use this for dust protection, as it was originally intended. For now, I have the spray paint booth I have always wanted. Thank you.

I picked these up hoping they would help control the dust a bit during some demolition in my home. I was gutting the hallway in my 100 plus year old house and the walls are plaster. That dust goes everywhere no matter how hard you try to keep it under control. The plan was to use these as a temporary barrier to block the dust from the rest of the house.
Let me give you my impression of the product. It arrived well packed and the kit includes four poles, the storage bag, a zipper to install on your temporary plastic wall and set of toppers for the poles that allow the plastic sheeting to be held top the poles so you donât need to be on a ladder to install them. The poles are spring loaded and adjust in height and easily handled my 9 foot ceilings, you can adjust the height easily with the nuts on the poles which work similar to a painterâs pole.
I tested this set up using lightweight disposable painters plastic drop clothes that you can get almost anywhere. In less than 5 minutes I was able to set up a temporary wall by slipping the plastic underneath the included pads, adjusting the height of the poles and slipping them into place. The poles are spring loaded and that is what provides the tension to keep them in place.
The good part of this kit is that they supplied four poles and you will need all four in most cases if covering a large span or making a box like enclosure.
The temporary wall prevented approximately 80 percent of the dust from getting all over the rest of the house. This was far better than I had been able to get when simply taping plastic to the ceiling and walls, plus I was able to easily move the poles when I completed a section. The amount of trouble it saved on cleanup was worth the price of the set up.
The storage bag holds all four poles and accessories neatly and they store in a small area when not being used. I am going to try these as a temporary enclosure when staining window trim to keep the odor form the rest of the house next.
The only thing I did not try was the provided zipper, if you decide you want to use it to forma a temporary door, than I feel you will need to use a heavier gauge clear plastic for the walls, I found I didnât need to use it as the poles were easily moved and I was able to remove and reinstall the wall so quickly when I need to do so that it wasnât necessary.
I just wish i picked these up when I started the renovation on my house, it would have saved a lot of time with unnecessary clean up!

The sturdy poles hold the plastic nicely in place. The only mistake I made was to buy too thin a plastic sheeting.

WHAT are you waiting for? Lightweight, easily transportable, simple to install, and a great value for your money. In very little time, with little knowledge, you can set up a spray booth on-site, seal off other rooms from your work space, partition an area as off-limits, set up a self-contained work space...and just as easily take down and transfer to your next site. I use heavy duty plastic sheeting as my walls, and they can be repeatedly used again and again with careful set up and removal of the holding-pads at the tops of the adjustable-height rods. One of my must haves!
