Rated 5 out of 5Â by MrKnowItAll It is a no brainer!
Just push a button. It is that simple to find the exact centre of a stud. It is also light weight and easy to hold on the wall - won't make you tired. I am a geek too; the multi-functional heavier units with laser levels are exciting but they are not a complete laser level yet bulky and heavy when it comes to stud finding job. If you use a stud sensor a lot, go with one that is small, light weight, and as easy to work with as possible. Don't be fooled by the price tag. There is lots of technology in this device. It automatically calibrates itself, taking the guesswork (of how thick the wall is) out. The only thing missing is a back-lit display otherwise highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Petey READ THE DIRECTIONS!!!!!
My dad had always been the tape and ruler guy which is great if you built the house but sometimes studs just don't line up 16" on center from the corner of the wall....after that, sure but before that? Read the directions and know your wall so you know that this will work....Compared this to the bottom of the basement ZIRCON and the i30 and i50 or is it e30 and e50...they all repeated within the same markings I made on the wall!!!!!! This will come in super handy to just confirm your measurements + the graduated GFX display is invaluable which you WON'T get on some of the cheaper ones...drop the extra $10-$20 and get the GFX display.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by Jibara A disappointing buy
I used this for the first time thinking that it would work a lot better than one I had that was over 10 years old. I marked where the studs were supposed to be, but after making a pilot hole in each of the spots, there was no stud. It didn't work any better than the one I had replaced. I was disappointed.

Works well overall. I still have trouble finding deep studs in walls where the stud is not in direct contact with the drywall.
