Customer Reviews

Natural Linen-Look Thermal Blackout Fabric Roman Shade - 35 in. W x 64 in. L is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 43.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks nice, too expensive for the quality, difficult to install These look nice on my windows, but the hardware is cheap and they are very difficult to install without an extra person. (I have installed a lot of window treatments by myself over the last 25 years) I don't think the brackets will stand up to constant use. They are not worth what I paid for them, but for someone who has the need for a Roman Shade and has help from someone to install them and is willing to pay more than they are worth, then I would say go ahead and buy them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Out of Square, no insulating thermal properties We ordered one for a sample to see what the fabric is, what it looks like, and how it hangs with our windows. We plan to order for all the windows in the house. The Shade we received, when hanging, is out of square with the window. The plastic head piece was sewn, and riveted in at 1/4" out of square with the shade sides. It makes the shade hang at a diagonal in the window about 1 1/2" out of plumb with the sides. There is no adjustment to fix it because of the rivets. Will have to return to the store because the warranty information lacks contact information to get any help. The shade looks and functions OK for the price. The fabric is a white, vinyl/rubber type of material on the back, and appears to be linen type facing all made in one piece, like outdoor furniture fabric of some sort. Not sure why it is called a "thermal" blackout, because the thermal properties of a piece of vinyl/rubber are less than any cloth fabric material might be. So "thermal" in the product name is misleading. The blackout properties are good. The only light is from holes in the stitching, and along the edges where it does not meet the window. We will see how the replacement goes, and may revise this review if all goes well. The price is great for a Roman type of blind. just wish it was built with a bit more quality control in the manufacturing process.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible Quality I could not believe the poor quality and workmanship of this product. The stitching was not even and not complete. If I could it would be zero stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stylish product Looks great and easy to install. I used the shade to cover my glass entry and side doors. It offers both privacy and helps block cold air.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not as described This isn't fabric. It's plastic w/fabric melted/adhered to it. Home Depot should check their product's description (esp if only sold online like this). It's not brown. It's more sage/khaki. Because it's a plastic, it's stiff and does not 'blouse' like a roman shade should. It has stiff folds in it. It's so plastic like, the light comes through the stitch holes. It's description of fabric is misleading. Also, I'm use to shade brackets having screw holes to the sides, back and top of them. If you want to mount these inside the window frame (as I did), there's only one screw hole for the top, and then two screw holes on the back side of the bracket... which means I'd be screwing into my sash frame (that you lower to open the window)?! Luckily it's not too heavy and I am not going to be raising and lowering these a lot (living room), because I only have one screw on each end holding the shade in place.
