Here's the conundrum.... the idea and convenience are great, but for whom, the user or Scott's? By essentially giving me a free spreader I have committed to use their lawn products which come in a special bag only produced by Scott's. If I want to use a competitor's product, say because of results or price, I can't.
If Scott's and Home Depot price their "Snap Spreader" lawn care products low enough then great, if not, the spreader goes to the land fill.
Product was pre-assembled however am sorry that the product does not come as a fungus for lawns. It has all the other applications but not that one. Its available in all of the other Scott products but to buy another applicator for only one product application is silly. Should have bought another spreader to have avoided this.
Purchased my 1st. Snap Pac Spreader from Lowes for $10.(A special deal). I had to purchase the snap pack Weed & Feed fertilizer separately, @ about $24... $34 Not bad for both. This Home Depot Deal I get both for $24 & change with Winterize Fertilizer. Recently put down winterize &will retreat around Thanksgiving, patiently awaiting a Green Spring from the start.....The Snap Pack works great, except for it takes 3 bags for my yard.. 2 for the front & 1 for the back..Kind of Expen$ive. This deal is one of my better deals...Does Scott make the weed & feed winterize combo product??

What they sent me is different than what's in the picture. Looks like a much cheaper model than pictured. It's too bad I will not have a chance to use it, because I will be returning it. The value would be good if they didn't try to jip me.
