needed a pump to for my hydroponic vertical strawberries , smaller pumps did not have the power to pump a half inch pipe 7ft straight up but this one had more than enough , with a 24hr timer set the only thing i have to worry about is forgetting to check my PH and TDS levels its so easy even a caveman can use it

I needed a pump to empty my hot tub and picked this one after a lot of web research. Have only used it once, but it worked great, drained 350 gallons in an hour with about a 3 ft. rise using the garden hose reducer on the outlet. The power cord is plenty long enough, and the unit is nicely weighted to stay put. Instructions were simple, hookup and operation were easy. The only "con" I have is that the instructions say it will pump down to 1/4 of an inch, but it needs 2 5/8 inches of water to operate, so keep an eye on the water level to avoid over heating the pump. Hoping to use this 3-4 times a year, time will tell how durable this unit is.

This pump was easy to install. I did have to get an adapter to go from hose fitting to 3/4 inch PVC slip fit for my application, but that is to be expected, and it was just a couple of dollars at home depot. I use mine for hydroponic gardening out doors for vegetables. It runs 15 stacks of pots. I use the EZ GRO system of Hydroponic gardening and I highly recommend this pump.
the pump has to pump the water and nutrients up about 10 feet because my nutrient barrel is sunk into the ground to keep it cooler here in the Carolina heat. Then it has to supply 4 different 1/2" legs each 15 feet long (think of it as a manifold ) and then each leg has 8 to 10 1/4 inch drip hoses coming off of them so up 10 feet over 30 feet then out two more two foot by 1/4 inch lines. it's a heck of a pump.

I needed a pump to remove water from my swimming pool. In one day, I was able to pump 6,000 gallons of water out of the pool (I measured this with my water meter when I refilled the pool).

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Bill Great for pumping out small pond
Pumped out a 300 gallon pond in minutes and took it down to about a quarter inch depth. I also bought the hose kit, I'm sure it went faster than using a garden hose. Easy to clean if the intake gets clogged.
