I have an old unit of this and it stopped working after 13 years. I bought a new unit of this and it fits in perfectly. I love NuTone.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Kevinthetwin A noticable difference
As part of setting up our new home, I have been given the task of changing all of the ceiling fans from the original 16 year old fixtures. This is the one in the laundry room. I had tried to service the original, but after the relatively pain free job of swapping out the old one and installuing this one, we have already noticed a difference in the moisture levels in the room. It could be a little quieter, but for a low cost replacement almost identicle to the original, we are impressed.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by HairCaughtInAFan Decibel level too extreme for residential bathroom
While this might work great at 50CFM to remove air in a windowless bathroom, it's not worth the trade-off in DEAFENING noise for residential applications. Our old one burned out (literally electrical wiring producing burning and smoke), and replaced with same new fan. The old motor was crusted with grey dust (which is probably why it failed) even though the grill was cleaned and vacuumed constantly, but probably why it was half the noise when we took residence. Additionally, we have to run the fan continuously to keep moisture out of the small bathroom for a high occupancy residence. Looking at the specs, this fan is NOT rated for continuous operation, so it will probably fail sooner than later. Would possibly benefit from not being tied to light switch. Additional comment on noise level in a small bathroom: I cannot hear anything outside of the bathroom even with the bathroom door wide open; I've been in pleasanter industrial environments (I would post the Db level if I had a meter.)

Works great!! had to do some disassembling since the size was not the same as my old unit. Just took out the motor and disposed everything else.
