This is great for nail hole cover or light patchwork when sanding out old paint scrapings. It is NOT good for larger scale projects. When it says lightweight...they mean it!. For anything too thick of a coat, it will not work when painted. It comes off with any degree of moisture. It only works for thin patches or seeming paint scrapings or like I use it -- nail holes.

I have used this product many times over and would rather use it than drywall compound it dries very fast and is hard enough to drill or even nail in about 45 to 60 minutes and makes filling holes or cracks of just about any size. I am an electrician and use this stuff constantly in older homes when I have to put new lights on ceilings and for placing new receptacle boxes in walls or switch boxed in walls because no matter how carefull you are you are always going to crack the wall or ceiling more than you want to in older houses and buildings and when I am done I do not Have a lot of time to use regular compound or wall spackle because it takes to long to dry and most times has to be sanded before you can paint it ,with this stuff I can fill in the holes or cracks start cleaning up my tools and the work area and when I am done with that the lightweight compound is usually always dry enough for me to paint right over it with no sanding at all and the customer is amazed how good it looks with the paint on it and they do not have to call a drywall contractor to fix the cracks or holes from the new electrical work and they dont have to do anything to it themselves except to start using their new lights or switches I have just put in I have never had an unhappy customer yet but I do get a lot of thank you's for filling in the holes and cracks and painting over them right away!!!!

The previous owner of my home liked to hang everything with about 12 anchored screws. As a result, I've had tons of small holes to spackle. This product does what it says it does: it is fast-drying, doesn't shrink, low VOC/ zero odor. However, it is not my favorite to work with. It has a drier, less sticky texture and doesn't adhere that well to smooth walls. It also tends to crumble and make a mess as you're patching. I prefer spackle with a wetter consistency, although it takes longer to dry. I suppose it's just a matter of personal preference, but that is the reason I deducted two stars.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by 000000 Husband Says "Most Annoying Spackle Ever"
Husband is replacing a section of drywall right now and is *attempting* to use this to fill in the little gaps and smooth out the edges. He says this product is extremely annoying to work with. It doesn't stick at all to the surface (it sticks more to the putty knife than the surface). It crumbles away in big chunks and makes a huge mess. Regular spackle may take a bit longer to dry but it's far easier to work with. Won't be trying this one again.

I'm a painting addict and this works wonders on wall imperfections. I use it mainly to patch small nail holes but have also used it for larger repair jobs. It dries quick, no sanding required (as long as you smooth it out with a spackling knife) and the paint goes right over it. I've never had to prime it before painting over it. It cleans up very easily. I just use a wet paper towel. Keep the lid on tight when it's not in use because it will dry out quickly.
