Rated 5 out of 5 by This product really works!!! After getting bad installation advice from a grout additive manufacturer, we were left with a total mess. They told us not to use too much water during the clean up process to avoid efflorescence and the gray grout turning white, so we used very little water and did not remove the grout haze. Not only did our grout turn white, but so did our beautiful tile. When I called the grout manufacturer back, they advised us that we must wait 10 days before we could start cleaning the floor for the additive to cure or it may continue to turn white. So, now after 10 days the grout on the tile was really not coming off. We tried at least 4 products, but nothing worked even after scrubbing on hands and knees with a scrub brush. I purchased the tilelab sulfamic acid cleaner, which was actually the least expensive product that we tried. We followed the instructions for mixing, we put the solution on with a scrub brush, and allowed it to sit on the tiles for 30 minutes, gave it another quick scrub with a scrub brush mop and then removed the cleaner with a hoover floor-mate and finally, our tile is looking good. No more grout haze. I am not saying that this product removed the excess grout and haze without some scrubbing, but at least the end result was good. The other products even after scrubbing had very little effect. One 16 oz container did a 225' square foot floor, and there is still some left. We are extremely happy now. We had almost given up and thought we would have to call in professionals to get the grout off before using this product. I have submitted a picture of the end result. I did not take a picture of the before because we we too disgusted and didn't think I would be reviewing this product. Be assured it looked really bad. November 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Removes dried grout on tiles first try I did some research and found this product. We cleaned up 1000 sq. ft. of Ceramic tires installed by a sub-contractor who left lots of grout residue on every tile, it was a mess. We added a small amount of crystals in a small pail of hot water, and used a nylon brush attached to a pole. It took all the mess away with minimal effort. We mopped each small area first, then scrubbed with the Sulfamic Acid, then mopped again. Only had a minor acidic smell, nothing caustic, and are very satisfied with this product. In fact, it is so effective, we still have about 80% crystals left in the tight sealing package for future use. very highly recommended, especially for the very low price. August 11, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by The info. is incorrect. Please don't be confuesd Which I picked up from stock is 1LB bucket. it's difference with described "TILELAB 1 GAL. SULFAMIC ACID CLEANER". I double check specification. It also show me the bucket is 9" by 9". It's 1 gal bucket size, much bigger than actual one. So don't be confused. It's only 1 Pound. October 1, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great at removing the glaze We are using a Dark grout which had hazed over. This product took the haze off the grout with ease! September 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Works Well Had dried-on grout on textured tile. Mixed the crystals in hot water at "extra strength" and followed instructions. While it took several applications and some scraping with a razor blade, it worked very well and saved my project. August 7, 2012
