This is the BEST mole trap I have ever used (and I have tried them all)! Set up was a little tricky the first time, but we found a handy youtube video that explained exactly how to set the trap. Super easy to use. I have caught a mole in almost every run in my back yard where I have set these traps. If you have pets (like a dog who is in the back yard), just set the trap and cover it with an upside down bucket with something heavy on top of it so the dog doesn't bother the trap or get hurt out of curiosity. These metal, sturdy traps last forever. All of my neighbors want them too since our area has SO MANY MOLES. Awesome product.

I followed the instruction on the box. It didn't catch the mole for about 3 days. I began to lose hope and no longer pay attention to it any more. But this afternoon I saw a wild black cat in my garden after my brother watered the garden and somehow the cat didn't want to leave ... I felt something was not right and suddenly I saw the soil around the mole trap was "loose" and "wet". The mole trap was not straight as it was set up but kind of popped out of the soil a bit. I pulled the trap out and found the mole. It was huge and hairy!

We were losing our yard to moles. Tried digging, spearing, noise makers, and poison. Each had little to no effect. Saw a video about this trap and decided to try it. Installed it in the ground and 2 hours later trapped a mole. Works great. Reasonable price. Built sturdy. Looks like it will last a long time. Bad day to be a mole in our yard.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by davek good design, cheaply made, but only $10
Caught 1 already after 2 days.
Tons of great youtube videos on how to set and also modify for greater success
Looks like they were in a rush to make as many of these as quickly as possible.
I bought 2, and 1 had a safety that was basically stuck in place until I loosened it up with pliers
Does not seem like it will hold up in the long run (but it was only 10 dollars so...)
Sometimes modifying the trigger plate is necessary to get more sets.
It's true that these traps take some strength to set, but if they didn't, they probably wouldn't be able to cut through the soil and etc and still nab the mole.
