Rated 1 out of 5 by not a good product I have had this door now for 6 years and it needs to be replaced. The look of the door is great but that is as far as it goes. It does not stand up well to the elements at all. After about a year the door started to corrode around the base of the window and the pull down screen started breaking away and would then not roll up correctly anymore. Do not buy this product; if you do you will be replacing it in about 5 years as I am getting ready to do now August 20, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by What happened to the screen? I like the door,I installed it by myself it was fairly easy and straight forward. However, about a week later I opened the inside door and noticed that the screen had separated from the retractable roller that is built into the door. How do you fix this,do you have to pull the door apart.Do I have to undo the work I've done and take the door back to Home Depot.I'm taking back the star,I'm not a happy camper as I now have more work to do! Rated 1 out of 5 by junk This is a terrible product. The hardware was slightly misaligned, so installation was a pain. The door has always been hard to close properly. The brass hardware (lock and latch) have corroded and don't work. The screen sliding mechanism no longer works. The door is about 2 years old and I have to replace it. The paint is fine, so at least they got one thing right. DO NOT BUY Anderson/Emco September 5, 2010
Rated 3 out of 5 by This product needs an update to lasting ability/quality I purchased a series 400 door back in 2007 and noticed this winter more than ever the corrosion and rotting at the bottom of the door. This is a nice looking quality door, but needs updating as it must be taking on water and rotting from the inside out. I must say though Emco has stood behind the door for getting it replaced. The hardware has also suffered corrosion which you would think would last longer. July 9, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Truly Disappointed The brass hardware lock and latch have corroded and stopped working. It also caused some kind of reaction between the metals,so the aluminum body of the door is damaged as well.I bought it together with one with nickel hardware a year ago, and the other one is in a perfect shape.
