CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 32 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Does the job really well. My wife wanted better lighting in the kitchen. She agreed that this light should be able to do the job. It does. Our kitchen is VERY well lit now. This is a good and effective fixture. (As a joke, I said that it'd even scare away vampires, it's so bright.) The only challenge was having to install it. It's not a one-person job. The fixture is too big and too heavy to do be able to be mounted by one's self. I'm glad my father was with us at the time. Otherwise I don't think I could have installed it till someone was visiting. A disappointment I have is that Home Depot doesn't carry this fixture's 'little brother/sister'. Lithonia does have a model that's half the length but I'm not able to get it. I did get its 'small cousin' at a different Home Depot-like store but its not as sharp-looking as this model. It does but I'd like to have had one that looks exactly like this one. Nevertheless, this is good priced effective lighting fixture. August 1, 2011
Rated 2 out of 5 by Be Prepared for Short Lifetime I put 14 of these in my shop. In six years, the ballasts have gone bad in 3 of them. During this period I estimate that I used the shop only about twice a week, on average. Buying a replacement ballast is a pain and requires removing the fixture and fiddling with the wiring on a bench and then replacing the fixture. I found it easier to simply replace the whole fixture for very little more money. So....if you select this fixture, be prepared to replace it in a few years. FYI - I have replaced more fixtures with bad ballasts than I have bulbs in the fixtures in this six year period. I agree with other comments that for the price, you would hope for better quality in the product. November 11, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Decent fixture Basic lighting for what I needed to replace 2 bare bulbs in my garage. Easy enough to install and better lighting than what I had. The metal is a little flimsy and one of the wraparound lenses was cracked on an edge, but easily fixed with a little clear superglue. I'm satisfied enough. August 12, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by these lights are not worth your time or money bought six of them and installed in my office. They are not three years old yet and have already replaced five of them. The ballast has gone out of everyone. I have thirty year old lights in my shop that I bought used and haven't had a problem with yet. Its a shame you cant buy anything worth anything anymore.
