Rated 4 out of 5Â by slowly Very useful
We found it useful but not as secure as I would have liked. But it kept the baby of 14 months on the right side as long as we double checked to see if it was secure. I think we need to re-install it as I don't think it was done right because we didn't use a drill to secure the ends. But it kept the baby and dog out of the kitchen while she was visiting and that's all that counted at the time.

Fits very well in the doorway. It is easy to operate with one hand. The new dog wants to chase the cats and this gate allows a.visual but keeps them separate and safe. It came with an extender for larger spaces but was not needed in my application. I like the height of the gate because the latch on the top is easy to reach without bending.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by soonerdarrin Poor quality. Broke in about three weeks.
This item installed fairly easily and seemed stable and sturdy. The metal parts are of good quality. However, after about three weeks of use, the top plastic hinge completely broke in half, rendering the door useless. I'm planning on taking it back to Home Depot, but won't be getting another. It seems like the most important part of the door, the hinge, which moves every time the door opens and supports the weight of the swinging gate, shouldn't be made of plastic.
