Very functional. I like the style, even if the motor housing is a little clunky looking. This does a great job as a pool table light. I use 75 W equivalent LED bulbs for safety, to keep the wattage and the heat down. The remote dimmer works well with LED bulbs.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Handyman4Less Looks Good Enough To Be A Focal Point In The Room!
I do handyman work, and have installed many light/fans. My experience is, this is an awesome fan! We added a formal DR and library onto our home 4 years ago. I cannot say enough about its great looks, how quiet it is, and how much my wife and I love it! The brushed nickel finish and dark wood looks rich, and goes well with our dark cherry bookcases and hutch. It was easily the right fan for our library. We love it so much we bought another one for our great room. We could not be more pleased.
One thing of note - the first one we bought is dimmable. The new ones do not (because of the new bulbs). That was a "must have" feature. I called the manufacturer and they found a dimmable light controller in the warehouse. They shipped it to us, at no charge, and we could not be happier with our purchase. It's as good a fan as I've ever owned or installed. I'd give it 8 stars if I could. It is a bit heavy, but all good fans are. An extra pair of hands would be helpful when installing it.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by YoDude Well Made ceiling fan, quiet, easy to assemble,
Clean, bright light globes give plenty of light to our large family room. Heavy, high quality fan motor, quiet with instant on/off remote. The fan has girth and bulk making it look hefty and not wimpy.

We love this fan--we really do. It's a beautiful fan, and it moves the air well. We had the earlier model in our previous home and liked it so well I sought it out to order online, as it was no longer available in the store. It arrived timely and in good shape. So what's the problem? Well, the fan was up just over two weeks when, out of the blue the other night, the lights came on. We turned them off with the remote, and they came right back on. Turned them off, came back on. Then we turned off both the fan and the lights, turned the fan back on, and the lights stayed off. A little while later, the fan went off by itself. We turned it back on, and I believe it worked after that. The weather has cooled since this happened and we haven't run the fan since, but we assume this will be a continuing problem and we will have to contact Hampton Bay. Unfortunately, this fan is controlled only by remote, so we can't even take out the remote receiver and depend on manual controls. I'm not sure how this will resolve. We installed a (different brand) fan previously and had the same problems with the remote so we replaced the fan, and the replacement had the same problem. I'm afraid this is just an issue that has arisen with remote-controlled fans that they need to fix.
