The award winning line of Milwaukee Routers is growing. A new Heavy Duty Plunge Base introduced in June 2007 now complements Milwaukee's award winning BodyGrip Fixed Base in two new Multi-Base Router Kits, the 1-3/4 Max HP, 5615-24 and 2-1/4 Max HP EVS, 5616-24. Both Multi-Base kits deliver everything offered by the Milwaukee BodyGrip Fixed Base Router with its multitude of patented innovations. The additional new Heavy Duty Plunge Base offers unprecedented design and features that professional users are seeking. The routers' linear depth can be adjusted at a micro and macro level within a 1/64 in. The routers' height can also be adjusted above the table. The 4-point PM bushing design helps deliver smooth plunging action.

  • 6-position (1/8 in. increment) adjustable metal turret stops for precise, multiple pass routing
  • BodyGrip design with macro/micro linear depth adjustment system precise to 1/64 in.
  • Above the table height adjustment for easy control of the Milwaukee 5616-24
  • Plunge system with 4 point PM bushing design and constant spring tension to help deliver smooth, non-binding plunge action throughout the plunge range (2-7/8 in.)
  • 3 in. metal depth scale
  • Adjustable pointer

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 15 reviewers.
Rated 2 out of 5 by Great router....but where can I find attachments? I have looked everywhere for a straight edge guide for this router only to find one that has been discontinued. I can not find any attachments for this router? Help anyone! Looks like I may return and go with Dewalt as they have attachments for everything. October 10, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Everything you expect from Milwaukee except where it's made I have never been disappointed with a Milwaukee power tool going back at least 20 years and this one delivered as expected. The plunge base operates smoothly and I particularly like the spring-loaded plunge lock lever. It is within easy reach of the thumb, not too stiff to operate, and locks crisply. Unfortunately the same thing cannot be said for the depth stop rod and lock. Setting the rod precisely is difficult because it wobbles around a lot before being locked into place with the locking screw. Lastly, I didn't realize until after I bought it that it was made in China. One of the reasons I have been so loyal to Milwaukee over the years is that most of their power tools were manufactured (or at least assembled) in the USA. I suspect that I will own a wider variety of brands in the future as "where it is made" no longer factors into the decision as to which to buy. April 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent tool, good price. The plunge router has great control on depth plunging, one finger adjustment. Runs smooth and the case holds several different size bits, 1/2" and 1/4" shanks, plus accesories. Easy to change bit system. Smooth startup and very user friendly. If you do any routing beyond once or twice a month this tool is worth the extra $$$. August 21, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Product very smooth operation I bought this router to complete a project I was starting, and I was very pleased with it's operation. The delayed start feature worked very well along with the dial adjustment for the variable speed feature. Tool change was very simple, and the change-over from the fixed base to the plunge base was quick. The one minor complaint I have is the depth adjustment for the fixed does not have an intuitive scale on it. Overall, I am very pleased with this Milwaukee router, and is a great tool for me to begin building my wood working collection. November 24, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by We needed power to mill and edge very hard Garolite plastic. This unit had energy to spare and gave clean surfacing. Having two collets added flexibility to what we needed for small inside trims and well as larger shank bits for big area material removal. Even when the greatest material removal was needed this router moved with ease and control. March 5, 2013
