I have tried every product that claimed to remove hard water and calcium build up with no results. I even used a pumas stone to try and remove the ugly residue from this toilet. Zep under the rim and around the bowl sits for 5 minutes. Then just brush away ugly calcium build up. This product delivers everything it claims, and has made our toilet look like new again.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by LizCha Saved us the expense of two new toilets.
We had some water issues at our office that ended up staining our toilets brown...not only the toilet bowl but also the tank. After years of bleaching, pumice stone and eventually locking the doors so no one would use the bathrooms we found ZEP. I spent more time than the 5 min waiting time on the label. I actually had to apply the gel and then put toilet paper on it to hold the gel in place for a longer period of time...about an hour and a half. Just applied the gel inside the toilet tank. This product literally melted the brown off of both !!!!! Thank you ZEP for saving us the expense of purchasing two new toilets! I have already recommended it to several people and I only used it two days ago.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Rancid AWESOME STUFF!
I had a very bad, thick, crusty, brown, rough mineral deposit in the very bottom of my toilet bowl. Pumice stone wouldn't touch it. I drained all of the water out of the bowl and filled it with white distilled vinegar to up above the deposit and left it sit over night. That didn't touch it, not even a "dent". I tried the same thing with CLR, same thing, it didn't even touch it. I read about Zep online, and went to Home Depot and got a jug of it. Drained all the water again, filled the bowl to just above the deposit and let it sit. Four hours later I thought I would stir it up a little and stuck the handle of a wooden spoon in there and scraped on the bottom ... smooth as a baby's butt as if the deposit was gone ... couldn't see the bottom because the Zep is a dark blue color ... so I flushed the toilet ... the entire deposit was GONE. VANISHED. The toilet looks as if it was brand new! BUY THIS STUFF!!!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Candor Amazing Product
I recently purchased a home from a bachelor. Over several months, I tried all of the common household brands of toilet bowl cleaner and the stains would not budge. I was almost convinced that I would have to replace the toilet when, out of desperation, I looked up a video on the web; this product was used. I left it in the bowl overnight and amazingly, the bowl was almost clean before I even picked up a brush or a pumice stone! Thank you, Home Depot, for carrying high quality cleaning supplies.

As a Professional Plumber, this product is a great recommend to Professional cleaners and home owners.
this product even helps with calcified toilets. Calcified toilets usually exhibit signs of slow flushing, or the lack of flushing debris completely through the bowl. Most of these toilets can be saved by; removing as much water from the bowl, Pouring the bowl cleaner through the over flow tube and letting it sit for a couple of hours while at the same time scrubbing the interior of the bowl with a bowl brush.
Never use a pumice stone on the interior of a bowl as this will scar the porcelain and allow for calcium to develop at a faster rate leading up to more frequent treatments.
I was looking for something much more industrial at the time, however this product is great.
