CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 32 reviewers.
Rated 2 out of 5 by Works Great - But Does Not Last Well I thought that I found the perfect string head for my Ryobi trimmer...I mean this product is easy to use and works flawlessly...Unfortunately, this product does not last...The "button" or plastic yellow piece that functions as a string loading mechanism and the string feed/release mechanism wore down extremely fast...until the product was rendered useless...I would not say that I do more weed-eating than the other guy...I used the trimmer probably every ten days or so...and I rarely touched the ground with that button aside from bumping it to release more line... I cannot say that I recommend it because it lasted less than one season...and I definitely would not buy it again unless the button is upgraded... July 25, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by VERY Nice I really don't understand many of the customer complaints. Operator error, maybe? This thing works great. Put in the lower piece 1st, put the small bolt in and tighten, put the string spool in with the orange twist cap on top, clip on the top piece, insert the string in the side hole till it comes out on the opposite side hole, pull till there's approx 6' to 8' on each side, twist the top cap till there's about approx 9" left...crank up the weed eater and go cut the weeds. Absolutely no problems. By the way...Mine is over 1.5 years old with many, many hours behind it. Bottom line is...This takes the hassle out of re-stringing the weed eater. I wouldn't be without it. Rated 3 out of 5 by Someone said it works great, i agree, but doesnt last long When I got it, I was HAPPY. It was ez to load, cut great using .95 line. The ONLY problem that I had. It gets so hard to turn to load. Pretty ez to install( no brain power, lol) That's the only thing I would rate that needs work. I'd recommend it except for that. September 9, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent, User-friendly Design & Very Durable I am replacing the head today on my CS-30 trimmer for the first time in 3 years of year-around weekly use. This has been an excellent trimmer - starts first-time, plenty of power and very easy to handle. Some other reviewers need to RTFM - the winding string-head design is foolproof and much easier than others where you have to wind the spool outside the head, then install it. Yes, one of the metal eyelets finally did come out of the head after much wear - that's why I'm replacing it. I was shocked that Home Depot actually stocks the part, and at a fair price. Rated 5 out of 5 by Easy to use This replacement head is easy to install & operate. To those that complain about the yellow bump knob coming off: I believe you installed it wrong. The yellow bump knob goes on before the outside ring is snapped in place. How do I know? I did the same thing. Once I installed it correctly, it has been smooth sailing. Love it!! June 23, 2012
