CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 49 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent for so many applications I initially purchased this insulation to add to my hot tub to reduce heating costs in the winter. The installation process was fairly easy - the material itself is very easy to work with, provided you have some heavy-duty cutting shears. After a few hours of work, I had lined my hot tub with the insulation completely. After monitoring the energy used by the hot tub over the course of a winter, I was surprised to find that I was saving around $100 a month (in the coldest months) in electricity heating the hot tub under similar conditions to the two prior years. Needless to say, I was quite pleased. I also noticed that the hot tub required less time to heat up, and it retained heat significantly longer than without the insulation. With the remaining insulation from the project, I decided to use it on my garage door to reduce energy transfer there. Installation was also extremely easy - I used a 3M adhesive tape to attach it to the door. The insulation is light enough that nothing else was required. The garage now has a noticeably more stable temperature, and ii just happens to look rather space-age on the inside. I would highly recommend this to any homeowner who wants to reduce their heating and cooling costs. This is perfect for a good many projects and very easy to use. March 10, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Easy to install and durable Durable to hold up to installation in difficult places making the job easier overall. I put this up in my crawl space and attached garage attic without too much trouble. Just needed a staple gun and some heavy duty scissors to cut the segments with. Seems to be lowering the heating bills a little already. December 5, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by UltraTouch Radiant Barrier We are using this product in several applications and it is a fantastic product. We needed a sound barrier as well as insulator so we used it behind our cedar siding. It is easy enough to cut and to handle. We'll be using Ultra Touch Cotton Insulkation on the interior as well since it is also eco-friendly (no itchy fiberglass fibers) and is a great insulator and sound barrier. September 30, 2009
Rated 4 out of 5 by Easy to install; seems durable I placed three 25-ft lengths of this 4-ft wide insulated radiant barrier on a south-facing roof of my attic. Although the space was very confined, I could easily unroll, cut, and staple these pieces into place just where I wanted them. Because it's lightweight and the facing is fairly tough, the material seems very durable and long-lasting. Of course, the cotton insulation is comfortable to work with. When the hot summer sun hits in a couple of months, I'll know better whether this radiant barrier will reduce the heat load in the rooms beneath that part of the house. April 3, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great materail This was a no brainer. Didn't have to deal with the itch of regular insulation, and the radiant barrier was even more affective. December 24, 2013
