CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 19 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by This tape made the floor look like a professional installed it. I laid down the vinyl and it fit but bubbled up along the edges where it touched the base boards/trim. I didn't want to start shaving off the edges in 1/8 inch slivers so I laid down the grip tape and the floor laid flat. It looks great. Added some molding and I am very proud of this project. Rated 1 out of 5 by Don't Do It! The guy at Home Depot highly recommended that I use this product, and it was the worst mistake ever. We actually used more of the tape than was recommended. At first it looks okay - but just wait til you experience normal, day to day use. You cannot vacuum the floor because the floor will get sucked up wherever the vacuum is positioned. Also, if you move anything across the flooring, the flooring is very likely to tear. There's nothing sticking it to the floor, so any kind of weight that is pushed across the floor will drag and rip the flooring. We have to do our flooring all over again. August 6, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not great The tape is much easier than any glue that I've tried, but it doesn't hold well. Forget it on corners. It is quick and easy for straight, flat installs - but plan to go back and press some spots back on for the next few days after install. November 11, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by vinyl tape I think this product works well, it even grips onto the cement based floor leveler I used. It did not like the gritty gritty areas but the adhesive is easy to apply way better then the glue process, apply roll etc. This is simple, make your cut, lay it, then apply it also small trick make the X on the floor not the vinyl. Good luck September 16, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Sticks to everything except the floor Maybe I just don't know how to use something like this properly, but I could not get it to just stick to the floor. I was using this to repair a hole that was torn in my very inexpensive vinyl floors. It stuck to my fingers, the scissor, and anything else it came close to, but I had a horrible time getting it to stay on the floor between the floor and the vinyl. You would cut a piece off, but to pick that piece off of the roll, you had to touch the tape and then it was stuck to your fingers. It has protective backing on one side, but you have to touch the other side to maneuver it and that's when everything goes sideways. I eventually just used little rolled up balls of the stuff under the vinyl. Not perfect, but it worked. April 29, 2014
