CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 2.1 out of 5 by 78 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Worst engineering design We have had our ryobi paint sprayer foe three years. Our original project was delayed and we ended up leaving the sprayer in the box until last week. We read the instructions ( such as they were) and proceeded to paint. From the beginning, it was not spraying very well, and after ten minutes, it was not spraying at all. My husband tried reversing the flow, we cleaned the sprayer in case it might have become plugged. All for nothing. At that point, he took it apart and found the the gears were stripped. We called Ryobi and all they would do was send a parts list and assure us that regardless of only using it for ten minutes, if we purchased it prior to two years ago, they would not be responsible and would not even send us the part to fix it. My husband stated that this paint pump was so poorly design and cheaply made that Ryobi should be ashamed to put their name on it. Sherburn Mn August 4, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by worked perfect....for a couple hours Used it to paint a room at church. Painted ceiling perfectly. When starting walls, noticed pump was sucking paint but nothing coming out of roller. 5 min later, paint comes out alright. Out of the units cracks, the vents I had no way of stopping it. I have never screamed so many profanitites in the house of the Lord. Do yourself and your religion a favor...do not buy this. You are much better doing it the old fashioned way! September 17, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Practical Joke Okay, where is the hidden camera ? There is no way someone actually thought this would work right? I am sitting here covered in paint with this machine sputtering. The only logical explanation is this is some kind of practical joke. Come on guys, show yourselves....I hear laughter....wait....it's the machine. OMG. I have wasted money. I should have just painted with a manual roller. Just take several dollar bills, wad them up into a ball, and dip into the paint bucket. You will still save your money and get a better paint job than this disaster !!! May 6, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by What a mess! Worst money I ever spent on painting equipment. This machine pumped paint onto everything except the wall I was painting. I spent a whole morning cleaning up the mess it made and cleaning the machine so that I could return it. The hoses come off within minutes of turning on the pump. No one could write a review that overstates how bad a product this is. I can only assume that anyone who gave it over a one works for Ryobi. July 15, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Awful Here is a simple tutorial for replicating the results achieved by using the Duet paint system: 1) Open a can of paint. 2) Stir to mix completely. 3) Place opened can in the middle of the room. 4) Kick the can as hard as you can. 5) Continue kicking the can around the room until it has completely covered the entire space with random splotches of paint. Do not buy this item. June 16, 2013
