Be warned that it does take a few hours to assemble the saw. Also, the pump had to be tapped a bit before it started working. Not surprisingly, the laser is not that useful when used outdoors, since it can't compete with daylight and wet stone.
Otherwise, I haven't had any issues since, and I'm pleased with the way it cuts through anything I've thrown at it. The table allows me to do all kinds of precise cuts, and best of all, 18" rips. It folds up conveniently and is not too heavy that I can lug it around myself.
I'd definitely recommend it, especially if you wait for the annual 20% Rigid tool sale.

Read lots of reviews and in terms of ease of assembly and good cutting ability and I definitely concur with the positive reports. The tray slides smoothly and the blade is strong. I was cutting 1/2" marble subway tile and it cuts through it very easily. I am excited to know that this saw is also capable of cutting driveway stones but I have yet to attempt.
Unfortunately I also have three negatives to report. First, while smooth, the tray does have just a tiny bit of play which makes it challenging to make a perfect precision cut every time, especially when cutting subway tiles fixed to a mesh backing. Secondly, and more importantly, the water pump that came with the unit was defective from the box. I tinkered with it for an hour before concluding it was defective and returned it to the store. After getting a second pump, it too wasn't working properly so back it went. Finally, on a THIRD trip back to HD, (and a full day lost) I was given a functioning pump. The only other issue I can complain about was related to a jamming that occurred when I set the saw up to make a 45* corner cut. While in the 45* position, a tiny screw found on the underside of the motor support arm must have vibrated out of position, and when I went to set it back to 90*, it was preventing the saw from going upright. The screw was tiny and it is very difficult to see on the underside of the arm when the saw is assembled (and isn't referred to in the accompanying literature) so it again set me back considerable time to trouble-shoot.
All in all, I am very happy with the unit now that it is up and running and I would not give it less than a 4 despite these issues, particularly if you take the price into consideration (paid $299).

Rated 4 out of 5Â by BrianOfToronto Nice, but not perfect
Really nice except for a few things. The table isn't as deep as it should be for diagonal cuts of 18x18. Also, there is still a bit of wobble on the table. Don't expect to bevel cut them either. The water also only runs when the blade is spinning - can't hose down the table otherwise.
Oh, and it took over an hour to assemble - the instructions, as others have also mentioned, are extremely bad.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by OttawaDano I like it!
I just bought this tile cutting saw based on price and the reviews from this site. I managed to assemble the saw despite the terrible instructionsâ¦.lol.
I have not completed any full projects yet but I did cut some test tiles and everything works well. The only weak link I see is the flimsy water circulation system. That being said, it does what is supposed to do, and overall, the entire setup is a good value.

It surprised me how easy it was to put together after reading earlier reviews. They must have improved the directions as it was quick. Once assembled, the saw cut tiles straight and clean. Finished a kitchen backsplash in a matter of about 3hours. Looking forward to the next project!
