Rated 5 out of 5 by Love this fan I am a local home builder in Texas. I have used this fan many times as it ticks all the boxes for looks, size, and reliability. It is elegantly rustic which encompasses my building style. August 27, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Fan Choice Great looking fan, however the lighting is a little dim as others noted. I installed mine without the center piece. I also installed a wall mounted fan control so I don't have to worry about the remote. May 8, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Beautiful Fan My only issue is that it seems like EVERY time I purchase a Hampton Bay fan it has to be balanced which is not the case with another popular brand that I purchased the same day at the same store. May 14, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great fan but flawed remote design Like the fan, like the appearance, like the size - but, like some other large Hampton Bay fans with remotes that you have to use to make the thing work, there is no reverse button on the remote. You have to flip the switch on the fan housing, which is located on the topside of the fan. So...being a 60" fan, you'd think these designers would figure out that it would likely go fairly high up in the air. So each time we want to change directions (and yes, in Texas the weather does change that much that you frequently reverse directions), you have to get a ladder out and climb up to flip the switch. How hard is it really to put a reverse function on the remote control? February 19, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Stylish fan I installed 2 of these on a 10ft ceiling. The fans were a fairly easy install. the directions were not quite as clear as Hunter's but acceptable. Wedging the remote control receiver into the ceiling was also a little tricky. The fans themselves are very stylish and fit well on a 10ft ceiling. They cool my large living rooms effectively. The lighting is not very bright and I used 60w GE Reveal bulbs which are usually VERY bright. The chainless design is very sleek. They look like we paid more for them. I wish these fans had an option to not use the remote control and just use standard ceiling fan wiring. The remotes work anywhere in the house within eyesight of the fan. February 14, 2010
