Solid construction, premium quality and smart design, Century's Spacemaker Wood Series of folding attic stairways is the safest, most durable wood solution on the market with large rough openings and a rugged 350-lb. load rating. Designed for heavier in-home use, it has zinc-plated side hinges and power arms for added muscle. It fits a rough opening of 30 in. x 60 in., adjusts to ceiling heights between 8 ft. 9 in. 10 ft. 3 in., uses landing space of 70 in., and a minimum clearance-projection area of 80 in. Made in the USA, this model is the only folding stairway with 1 in. x 6 in. stiles and stairs. This affords wider steps for greater user stability and sure footing an excellent safety feature. The unique red nut J-bolt technology allows stairway adjustment while it is open instead of making the adjustment from the attic, with the door panel closed. It is assembled and ready for installation. All Century attic stairways are independently certified to meet ANSI safety standards.
