Century's Spacemaker Wood Series of folding attic stairways is the safest, most durable wood solution on the market with large rough openings that fit your space like a glove. Designed for heavier residential use, it has a 350-lb. load rating, a rough opening of 30 in. x 54 in., fits ceiling heights between 7 ft. 8 ft. 9 in., landing space of 61 in., and a minimum clearance-projection area of 70 in. Made in the USA, it is the only stairway on the market produced with 1 in. x 6 in. stiles and stairs for increased stability and sure footing an excellent safety enhancement. Long-lasting, zinc-plated side hinges and power arms give the ladder added strength. The red nut J-bolt technology allows you to adjust the stairway while it is open instead of making the adjustment from the attic, with the door panel closed. Fully assembled and ready for installation, this model is big on features and performance. All Century attic stairways are independently certified to meet ANSI safety standards.
