Rated 5 out of 5Â by joseph51 Best invention since sliced bread
You will find the Rockwell Jawhorse to be a valuable assistant for any project. No more hunting for clamps to hold your cutting projects or vises to secure your work. This product was ready to use right out of the box with no assembly required and extremely heavy duty. I have seen reviews commenting about a few plastic parts, however do not see a problem with these parts. Instructions could be a little more descriptive, however very simple to operate. Word of caution-make sure to always move the button to "lock" mode before clamping.
I find this to be an invaluable asset in my shop. After you begin to use it, will make you wonder how you ever got along without it. Well worth the money in time and labor saved on projects.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by therenovator great product
This is a great product, I use it for everything around the house. I recently renovated my kitchen and I used the Jawhorse many times. The jaws are bigger than similar products and are able to hold onto things better. The added accessories are great, I use the plywood extension to cut full sheets. I would recommend this product for anyone who works by themselves.

Rated 3 out of 5 Excellent performance; rusts out quickly
The Jawhorse has been exceptional in performance, meeting and exceeding expectations.
We, however, have left it outside on our back porch, covered from direct rain, in South Florida. The paint protection of the steel did not provide basic protection against rusting. After about a year, we are ready to throw it out (but will replace it) for fear the the major rust will cause a cautisrastic failure. This is not a manufacturing defect - the rusting is prevelant thoughout the product, particularly at edges of parts and at welds.
From a functional perspective, we are extremely satisfied. But, from our perspective, Rockell is only using a superficial paint job to enhance the appearance of the product. The product will be exposed to the elements and will be used by contractors that will leave it in the back of their pick-ups, and is made of steel. The product needs to be provided with an engineered protective coating / painting system which will ensure long life.
When we get the next one, we will be coating it with WD 40 will be keeping it indoors, and will be giving it periodic applications of WD-40. We will also be taking off the foot and bearing pads to thoroughly coat the paint covering the steel.
