These cabinets are exactly as the name says, "unfinished". So, they would be great as-is for a workshop or a garage if you don't care about a finish. We installed two of them side by side over the washer and dryer and I took the time to finish them. I lightly hand sanded all of the oak parts and then painted with a quality white paint. It took some time but they look absolutely beautiful now. For installation, get the right screws and take the time to do the install right. HD sells screws specifically made for cabinet installation. They have a wider head for more holding power against a flat surface. If done right there is no way these will fall down. I installed a small 1"x2" ledger strip beneath mine for added support and ease of install.

Picked up two of these unfinished oak cabinets when they were on sale. I selected unfinished oak because I needed to match other stained oak cabinets already installed in the room. In general, the construction is sturdy enough but I would note four issues that one should consider.
*The instructions for mounting are pretty generic and you'll probably need to get additional hardware (i.e., I wouldn't simply screw the particle board backs into the walls - I glued in oak 1x2's for reinforcements in my case but there is cabinet hanging hardware that would work if you are putting up a long row).
*There were quite a few glue drips, including on visible faces of the oak. And it's not easy glue to sand off. If there's glue on the insert panels, take care not to sand too deep because they are just veneer.
*The 30" high cabinet come with only one adjustable shelf.
*The side panels that were available were a mess - too thin, warped, cracked. I will need to source the side panel elsewhere.
Given the finish quality and likely lower durability, I would not use these cabinets for kitchens (this installation is a laundry room).

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Didee The product has extra shelf space inside. but no extra shelf panels are available in store
I like the quality of the cabinets. However, the entire space that is available inside the cabinets will not be utilized until I can get extra shelf panels made. Unfortunately, there are no precut panels in the store that fit these cabinets.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Razor Decent cabinet, great value
What you get for the money absolutely cannot be beat. I looked everywhere for a low-cost solution for my bathroom renovation and did not find anything anywhere that compared to the value of these cabinets. Are they top of the line? Of course not, but the quality is enough that I don't see any reason that they would not hold up to regular use.
As described, the doors and the external facing frame are real unfinished oak. I painted the outside of mine white and the end result is comparable to a much more expensive cabinet. Inside the cabinet is one adjustable shelf. Note that the inside cabinet & shelf are not oak and therefore are not easily painted or stained.
