CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 1.3 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Reflecting on my Reflective paint purchase Still haven't been able to make it reflect anything. Have followed directions on can, but haven't been able to get any reflection of light at all....even under very controlled circumstances......painted item setting in dark room, shining a flashlight on it.............nothing yet, keep adding layers ,,,,,,,,will update if I get it to work. Sad about product not working.... April 30, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not Refective! This paint is not refective on any of the surfaces that I tried it on! Would not purchase this again. April 24, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Does Not Work Does not reflect light. I have applied no less than 6 coats, all according to the instructions on the can, and it will not reflect light as advertized. When you shine a light on it, if you look VERY VERY closely, you'll see the faintest hint of reflection, but it's nowhere near what you'd want. Look for another product. April 8, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by poor outcome does not work....tried it on different surfaces...waste of time December 9, 2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by USE 1 VERY LIGHT COAT. DO NOT PAINT AS USUAL This stuff is not great, but if used properly it will reflect somewhat. Problem is that most people don't apply it correctly. You should use ONLY ONE VERY LIGHT coat (not really a "coating", more like a light misting) of this spray product. The key to its reflectivity is that it should be a light and ROUGH coating. The metal reflective particals need to be at the surface. You can sometimes do a second even lighter spraying to touch up areas you completely missed. It should be like you are misting the paint onto the object. If your painting gets even remotely close to actually being something akin to a normal coating of paint, the product will not reflect (pretty much at all). If you actually do a normal or heaving "coat" of paint, this stuff will not work! If you do "multiple coats", you have no chance. A heavy coat (or recoats, which cause the original coat to soften and merge with the new coat), cause the reflective particals to decend into the paint binder, and THEN THOSE PARTICALS DO NOT REFLECT. As a result, you need to do more like a spray "misting" or "fogging" application (NOT a spray coating), and you can't come back with more applications. Thus in my opinion, this product is difficult to apply correctly. So, if you want reflectivity, you have to use the VERY LIGHTEST COAT of this stuff. Not even really a "coat". More of a high coverage "misting" or "fogging" onto the object. And then leave it alone. And that leaves you with a flat, rough texture which you might not care for, but which will reflect. If you read the other reviews (all true), if you coat this stuff on, then it does not reflect. If you try mulitple coats to get it to work, you just make it worse (all the reflective particals decent into the clear binding medium, and then they do not reflect). ONE SINGLE very light misting of this stuff is ALL you do! If you want a "nice coat" of refelctivity, then use a different product. May 9, 2013
