Rated 3 out of 5Â by Tribb Good tool nice features battery poor
This is a good tool for the price it comes as advertised. It has decent speed and useable attachments but the battery doesn't stand up long enough to finish certain jobs. It runs down quickly and the charge takes 3 hours. That means finishing the job later. That's a bummer.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by NoNickname Tool Average but battery is a pro
The tool itself is not bad; battery attachment is weak, but otherwise fairly sound. The battery itself is another story. Originally it would hold a charge sufficient to power the tool for 5-10 min. of use on high with a good 2-3 week shelf life. Now I have to charge the battery before each use, and can only hope for 4-6 min of power on even the low setting.

I purchased this product to file my 2 Large dogs' nails with, The actually filing bit works ok but the battery is just terrible. It doesn't last any longer than about 10 minutes at a push, I manage to get about 2 paws done and then have to re- charge, do the other 2 paws. Re-charge again before starting on the 2nd dog. I am not sure if this is a fault or they are only meant to last for 10 minutes ??

This Dremel tool is a replacement of an older version of the same model on which the battery would not hold a charge. I like this one better than the larger one with the Li-ion battery because it is smaller and easier to hold steady, especially when working on my model trains. This new version 7700 battery holds a charge very well. This is my sixth Dremel Tool purchased (five of them still working, although I have retired my old single-speed model 2.

Home depot didn't stock it so ordered on line. A mistake! This model vibrates much more than the one I had previously and is thus unpleasant to use.
