Not really sure just how you're supposed to rate a toilet seat .. far as I'm concerned it either works at 5 stars or it doesn't work and well let's just say there is no 3 and a half stars in my opinion.

Excellent product! This is not a cheap thin flexing plastic piece of junk, it is a solid, white, smooth seat. Very easy to install, using the included plastic bolts & nut/washer combo. I am not a do-it-yourself mechanical type, and this was ridiculously simple to install. It actually took longer cleaning the toilet (which you'll want to do with your favorite cleaners when the old seat is removed) than installing the new seat. The only tool I needed was a screwdriver.
My only recommendation, make sure you've measured before removing the old seat & going to Home Depot so you know if you need a round or oblong seat, and the bolt holes are the correct width. Stand in front of the toilet, with the tank away from you. You should measure the distance between the center of the two bolt holes that hold the seat to your toilet, close to the tank. For this particular seat, that distance should be around 5-1/2â. Then, measure from the center of the bolt holes perpendicularly to the end of the seat closest to you. Round toilets measure around 16-1/2â. Oblong toilets measure around 18-1/2â. There isn't that big a difference, that's why you need to measure!
Iâve seen much more expensive seats that are thin, cheap, flex, crack & break far faster than this one. If this one breaks you can buy between 2 to 4 more for the same price! Nice to find that the cheap one is the durable one.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by Myself It Creaks!!
For less than $6.00, it's hard to complain. This toilet seat is solid, attractive, easy to install, and comfortable to sit on. Not to mention, that it is made in the USA.
But, it creaks. When the lid is lifted. Loudly. Like the door of a haunted house on a Halloween ambience CD.
I actually took it apart and lubricated the interior of the hinges with silicon lubricant. Then it got completely quiet... For about a week.
Now it's creaking like a haunted house door again.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by PrinceoftheCastle7 best seat in the house
In a place called home,
With no place to roam,
I sit, comfy
All oohs and aahs,
I marvel at my throne,
I'll sit a while longer.

Prior to purchasing this seat, we had a super fancy seat. It was one of those slow closing seats that would "theoretically" close ever-so-slowly so not to crush the hands of our small children. After just one year, the hinges corroded and broke, leaving us to keep the lid open at all times.
We had visitors coming for a few days, and my wife called me to tell me to pick up a toilet seat because she wasn't going to have a broken seat with company at the house. So, I did as any man would. I took out my smartphone, went to the HomeDepot.com and searched for the cheapest seat I could find. I couldn't believe all the positive reviews on this seat, and for less than 10 bucks. So, I purchased it on the spot and picked it up 30 minutes later from the service desk.
This seat is wonderful. Took 5 minutes to install. Very solid construction. It stays up when you want it to, and my wife said that it lowers easily. I wouldn't know about that, as I'm a man and keep the seat in the upright position. :) Very comfortable to sit on...and allows me to finish my magazine article without my backside going numb.
Purchase this seat. Just don't tell your wife how inexpensive it was. My wife has no idea. She thinks I spent a fortune.
